Direct Access to Email Templates within Workflow Tasks
Currently, sending a templated email from within a workflow is a multi-step process that requires navigating out of the workflow task and manually locating the client’s profile to initiate an email. The current process can involve up to 13 clicks:
Current Click Path (13 Total):
Enter the activity
Enter the linked workflow (via automation)
Enter the workflow task (identify that sending an email is the next step)
Exit the workflow task
Click on linked contacts
Click on the target contact
Go to the contact’s profile page
Click on the contact’s email address
Select the email template
Send the email
Under the contact's side menu, select More…
Select Workflows
Reopen and complete the workflow task
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a feature that allows users to insert a direct link to a specific email template within a workflow task. When clicked, the template would automatically open in a pop-up or side drawer with the linked contact’s email prefilled, ready for immediate review and sending.
