Client Review Tracking - Early Access Feature
How it seems to work today:
- Client has a completed review in October
- Review frequency is every 3 months
- That means they were due in January
- They didn’t meet in January and instead scheduled the review for March
- Even though a review is already scheduled for March, the system advances the next due review to April (3 months after January)
So the system is essentially continuing to calculate forward from the missed due date, rather than recognizing the next scheduled review as the new anchor.
What we’d expect instead:
If a client is on a quarterly cadence and already has a review scheduled for March, that March meeting should reset the clock. In that case, the next due review should be June.
In most offices, reviews rarely happen exactly on the due date. Clients often push a meeting out a month or two, but that shouldn’t cause the cadence to compress or drift. Right now, it feels like scheduled future reviews aren’t being factored into the calculation at all
If I could make a recommendation- it would be much more intuitive if “next review due” always calculated from the most recent completed or scheduled review- not from a previously missed due date. That keeps the cadence clean and avoids showing a client as “overdue” or misaligned when a review is already on the calendar.
