When I search notes for a specific term, it would be very helpful if the specific term is actually highlighted in the larger note.
Highlight the term searched within the note. If I type "dog" rather than just pulling up the larger note that contains "dog" highlight that word for quicker location within the note.

link to activity
For note categorization, it would be great to have two new features. First, the ability to change what activity a note is linked to, allowing an existing note to be easily linked to a new activity or multiple activities. This would be particularly helpful for notes made on the mobile app or notes accidentally created for the client without being linked to a particular activity.
Second, it would be helpful to have an additional field on notes for sort date/order. Sometimes we start a new activity and include notes from other activities for reference, and it would be helpful to…3 votes -
Condense the Comments under the Notes
There needs to be a display option to condense the comments under the notes. Some update recently changed the display to show every single comment automatically, which makes the notes harder to search and differentiate. Some of our notes have dozens of comments, which just clutters up the note section if the comments are all open. Comments should remain hidden until the corresponding note has been selected.

Please add the option to toggle off the number of Notes displayed in "Notes By User - All Time" on the main Notes tab of the CRM, or add the option to limit this to Notes added by the user viewing that page.

Show product when linking Accounts to Notes
When linking an account to a note, the list of accounts shows the account number, status, and Account Type. Please include the product because sometimes all of the account types are the same so there is no way to know which account is which.

Notes Comments Collapsed by Default
Prior to 12/2025, comments on Notes were automatically collapsed by default, but, beginning approx. 12/08/2025, they are all now automatically expanded.
This is particularly frustrating to me for at least 2 reasons: 1) it really clutters up my screen and requires a lot of scrolling (haha), unless I click on the option to collapse comments under each Note and 2) it causes security/privacy concerns while sharing my screen with someone else (unless I open every Note I may possibly need to view and then collapse any sensitive comments before screen sharing, or constantly pause/un-pause if sharing electronically).

Comments - could we get the ability to label/categorize comments?
In our firm, we often label notes with different labels so they can be found more easily later. I am finding the comments feature really useful to keep threads of correspondence on the same topic grouped together. For this reason, I would like to have the ability to label a comment with a category. Not sure if this is possible, but it would be nice.

Notes Report
When using the notes report feature, allow the columns to be shrunk to size to make it print with less pages, select the notes to be included in the report so we can skip over unnecessary ones/choose specific ones, and make the font on the report changeable to shrink or enlarge as needed.

Activity / Notes Formatting Problem
When we link more than 5 accounts to an activity, the resulting note (after the activity is completed and posted) becomes very narrow and hard to read. It shrinks from about 15–20 words per line to only 5–7 words.
We believe this happens because the linked accounts are displayed in columns instead of a list (rows), which reduces the available space for the note text.
Please consider updating the layout so the linked accounts display in a list format or wrap more efficiently, allowing the note to retain its full width.

AI that can read all of a client notes
Use AI to read all clients' notes and have the ability to ask questions. I have about 20 years of notes, and looking through them is time-consuming.

Zocks Note formatting when imported to RedTail
Activities imported from Zocks retain the formatting in Redtail.
But Notes imported from Zocks lose the formatting and are imported in plain hard-to-read format. Keep the Zocks Note formatting.3 votes -
Note borders
The borders in the notes are all the same making it very hard to separate a whole note from the content inside a note. The border around the whole contact notes section is ALSO the same making it even more chaotic - too many lines create less visual separation.
Maybe make the border of each note thicker or bolder so we can separate the note from the contents of the note easily.6 votes -
Edit Notes / Comments
It is critical to be able to edit notes and comments. When we have multiple employees working with the same client, at the same time, it is crucial that everyone notates every conversation, action item, and pending task being performed in real time. However, sometimes those notes/comments need to be adjusted to account for updates. Currently everytime an adjustment needs to be made, we must create a new note or add additional comments....which usually results in a note becoming ridiculously long. The ability to select specific notes to move from one contact to another without having to move them all. Or, the ability to copy notes and have them keep the original date & time of completion.

Pinned Notes Should Appear On Client Dashboard
I came to add this suggestion but found it was already mentioned. Years ago. But nothing was ever implemented. It seems like it would be an easy fix and feels like it should be common sense feature, but if you have a note that is important enough that you want to pin it, why can't that note appear at the top of the Recent Notes on the client dashboard. Or at least somewhere on the main dashboard. Feels like it sort of defeats the purpose of highlighting a note if I have to navigate to another section to be reminded…
