  1. Create Dynamic Tag Groups

    There should be two types of tag groups that can be created: static and dynamic. Currently, all tag groups are static. I would like the ability to create a tag group that will automatically add contacts that meet certain criteria. Essentially, I want a combination of a quick list and a tag group. The marketing software that we use has the ability to import tag groups and sync them nightly, but it is tedious adding each advisors new contacts to tag groups manually.

  2. Searching by client nickname

    When searching for a client by their nickname and last name (for example: Bob Jones, instead of Robert Jones), it does not pull up the client.

  3. Search in multiple databases

    I have access to 2 databases because our advisors are on 2 teams. Please make it so I can search (or better yet - have access to) both databases at the same time. With 5 advisors in the office, there are times when clients call in and are not sure of the advisors name, maybe because they are a beneficiary or POA, or maybe they have forgotten (not good with names) or are new clients, so if I look up the contact name and it is not in the current database, I have to switch databases to see if the…

  4. search phone number with area code in parantheses

    Many times when I miss a call or when a call comes in after hours I like to copy and paste the number into the search bar for clients - it would be nice if I could search with area code in parantheses like it shows when the call comes in.

  6. Advanced Search on Account Level

    Currently Advanced Search is at the 'contact' level, we NEED to be able to search at the account level. Today there is no way to get an accurate report showing an account type, for example, Fixed Annuities issued in a particular month, say January. To me this is a basic search feature that should be available.

  8. date stamp feature for adding tags

    I would like to see a date/time stamp for things added to the CRM such as Tag group or UDF. We are wanting to track exactly when someone was referred to different COIs of ours. We can add a tag stating we referred them to ABC Tax but do not have anything we can pull reports on to say when it was done.

  9. ability to search emails that are archiving into our CRM

    Ability to search external email archiving by keyword in the email history section. For example instead of just being able to search by contact name and subject, being able to search by any word in the headers or body of the email

  10. Search Engine (Search Anything, Universal Search, Full Database Search)

    Redtail is missing a search anything option (full database search) similar to a search engine capability like Google. For example, if a user recalls something like a name, note, or something else they entered into a contact but doesn't recall what field this is in, they should be able to do a database search for that information. Lacking this functionality creates unnecessary work for your customers, and most of your competitors offer this.

  11. Speak - Modify second accepted SMS

    How do we change the message sent when they accept texting with us?
    It now says - You are now connected. Feel free to send a message! Send "STOP" to discontinue this conversation with "your advisor." We are a non-profit association for financial advisors.

  12. Filter by Permissioned User or Team, with actions

    It would be very helpful if we could search by permissions and then have actions/bulk actions available.
    For example, I could search for all clients that have John Smith or John Smith's Team permissioned and then be able to update permissions for all of them instead of one at a time. This would be helpful if a client changed advisors or if permissions were wrong for a lot of clients.

  13. Favorite Quicklists like you can favorite contacts

    It would be helpful to be able to favorite quicklists like we can favorite contacts and have these quicklists show up of the "favorties" tab either at the top of the list or in a separate "sub-tab" for lists vs contacts.

    When conducting an advanced search with the specific variables, there should be a column option that displays client since. This information is great to have when conducting advanced searches.

  15. advanced search

    In the advanced search feature, it would be nice to have a way to select multiple "values" instead of creating a new line for each value. For example, if I wanted to search for two contact categories, once I enter "Contact", "Category", "Equal To"; I would then be able to choose both of the categories I want (this would serve as an "AND" function without having to add a separate line).

  16. Combine Email/Call/Text Logs

    Instead of adding call and text information to the notes, it would be great to have one tab for logging of all communication with clients that could be filtered out between emails, calls, and texts. We have a text-heavy clientele, and we're new to Redtail but already finding that text logging is bogging down our notes list.

  18. Customize list results views

    Add ability to customize the view resulting from search results. For example, being able to add a customized UDF column, or phone number, or next client review date, etc.

  19. Get Advanced Search To Work as Intended

    I searched for contacts without a certain category and after being bewildered for a while about why the list was so short I determined the search results did not show those contacts where the category is blank. To get those I had to add in another search criteria when obviously those should have been included in my initial search. Fix this!

  20. Customizable and Sortable Column headers in searches, etc.

    This has probably been asked, but it is pretty common these days in software packages to be able to customize columns headers in search or even onscreen reports, by adding to those visible or removing one (temporarily), and then being able to sort by clicking on that column header. For example, I can search by zip code, but cannot see the column result, and then cannot sort by the Contact Name column. Thanks
