Add ability to search email *content,* not just subject lines
Redtail archives all of our firm's email communications with clients, but it does not make that information searchable (beyond the Subject line, which is not very useful). While I can search my own emails within my email client, I cannot effectively search for other users' communications.
EXAMPLE: If I need to know if Client A was sent document Z by anyone in our firm, I'd have to ask each user to search their own email client and/or manually review every single email archived in Redtail.
Redtail should also make the message content (including attachments... or at least attachment file names) searchable, as well as subject lines. Thanks.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

I'd like to be able to search the email by keyword. Without this feature it add literally hours to reading searching to review client history.

This functionality would be extremely time saving in the long run, especially having multiple people emailing using the same subject line for client convenience.
When you recall something mentioned in an email body, but can't quite remember when it was sent much less the title. -

Would appreciate it if this could be addressed

When email is sent to five employees of a company, the email is posted 5 times. Would like to be able to determine where something is posted and use keywords. When looking for an old email in Redtail, there is no way to search for a subject matter, at least as far as I can see. You have to scan through all the emails in the contact file.

We would like to be able to search the email history by a keyword within the content of the body. Sometimes the Subject line does not include everything when several different items are being discussed.

As the person responsible for compliance, I am required to review all users email. The need is to search all email subject lines, to and content by key words.

For an ALL DAY event (entered at top of day view), automatically visually color out the whole day to prevent time conflict entries. This can prevent careless secretaries from double booking appointments because the day looks open with no color. Related to this, also allow system option to PREVENT appointments with overlapping/concurrent times.

Please provide a search function by which we can perform a global search on all emails captured in Redtail for a specific keyword.

I'm assuming you are referring to email archives in CRM.
If so, I agree, Redtail should also add an easy way to scroll through emails without having to click out and click on a new email each time. A left and right arrow in the email window is all that's really needed.

I'd like to be able to enter a client name, company, or topic and find all relevant emails associated with that search

Redtail does not have the capability to let us pull up a list of all emails from a specific time period and then search on a certain word.
It can search on a word within the subject field of the email, but not within the body of the email.
For example, if a regulator was in our office and requested a report of all emails from January to June 2013 containing the word "compliance", then Redtail would only be able to provide emails during that time frame which contained the word "compliance" in the subject line. If the word "compliance" was within the body of the email, Redtail would not be able to filter it based on the capability we have at this time.
(You can do this report by going to Reports - Standard Reports - "Emails by contact report" and typing the word in the subject field.)
Please add this as an enhancement as our compliance advisor is telling us this is necessary in the event of an audit.
