PDF Orientation in Portrait or Landscape
I printed a note report last night and it came out with Landscape orientation. Is there a way I can control this? I would really like the reports to be Portrait.

The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

This has not been updated as of today. I actually just contacted RedTail to ask if this were an option and they recommended I make it a suggestion.

Has this been fixed to allow for printing notes in portrait mode?

We used to be able to print the Notes Reports in Portrait mode. Now we can only print in Landscape mode, which takes more paper and is inconsistent with the format of our files.

Can't seem to get the notes to print in Portrait format. Always defaults to Landscape.

The new landscape format is harder to read and doesn't keep any formatting, ie: bolding or underlining. If you bold or underline action items it should print out those changes.

I just voted and ditto everything that was said by Shari. In addition, I print and scan my notes into our back office program, attaching it to other pages from a clients review, and the print is illegible. Also, when all the other pages of my clients review are portrait view, it is very inconvenient to have the notes print in landscape. I hope that this can be changed back to the way it used to be. Thanks in advance for working on this pronto.

The notes are TERRIBLE when you print. First of all it comes up in a landscape format....needs to be portrait format. Secondly the font is super little. I called, was directed to go to reports/notes etc. export etc. Wrong, I should be able to print from the contact record, as before, and have it come up in a legible format to then print, for a folder, as I used to do and not have to change the direction of the paper. Why would you change something that is used by many to a illegible format? Very unhappy.

Also, the font size in print format is minuscule and nearly impossible to read...and most of the notes are not so long as to warrant that in order to fit it on the page...Can the font size be enlarged?

To print Contact Notes in Portrait mode instead of Landscape mode or at least have the ability to do both. The way our file folders are set up, we need to print Portrait.-

YES, YES, YES. This should be the default to give us the option. I don't know why it was changed, but its not helpful to have them landscape.

In order to print in portrait: click print, open pdf (in chrome it forces a save of the pdf, this is highly annoying, time consuming and a waste of space), click Edit pdf on right (only available w/ premium Adobe that I am aware of), click the body of the note so it outlines, click on the top edge of the note (not a dot) so that the "move" icon shows, drag and drop it below the note info (date, time, etc). Click print - on the print box - under page sizing & handling, click actual size and portrait orientation. the print preview will look funny, but prints OK. This is the only way I have found to be able to print notes in portrait. It is a real pain!!

The note COULD be printed in Portrait before. This is highly annoying. The help desk confirmed that they currently need to be printed in landscape. Not fantastic. Also if I print the note in landscape, the header is chopped off. So I have to print the Landscape note in Portrait to make sure that the top is not truncated.

Please bring back portrait mode. We are paying for the service to be upgraded....not downgraded.

Can the notes be printed vertical? I thought they were that way before....

Prior to the update, notes were printed with portrait orientation and now they show up landscape. Please either change back to portrait or give the option of changing the orientation.

Landscape is VERY inconvenient when every other piece of paper in a file is portrait. Please go back to portrait!

Make the type size bigger when printing note details.
Totally unreadable now in portrait.
It looks about a 6pt now unless you rotate the page. -

Allow users to select own print format (landscape vs. portrait) and font size for notes

I would like to have the choice on how to print the Activity Reports. It used to be in Portrait Orientation, which works well for our client binders, but recently got changed to Landscape Orientation. Please allow the end use to determine how to print their own reports.
