I understand when you add a “Home” phone number into Redtail, it syncs that number with other contacts within the linked family.

However, the problem is when you try to sync Redtail to a form filling software such as LaserApp or Quik!, it uses the “Home” phone as the primary number on the form itself. This is not ideal if the household does not have a landline phone or uses their “Mobile” phone as primary.

We can rename the “Home” number with a custom title like “Cell” to correct this. However, that number would still sync to the spouse or other linked family members. This is not ideal as we cannot create unique numbers for each contact.

Ultimately, if Redtail allowed users to disable syncing of the “Home” phone number to the rest of the family, it would allow the workaround above to fully work.

At the end of the day, “Home” phones are becoming less common in households. Also, I do not expect form filling software to make any workarounds on their end. They can only do so much. Therefore, my idea seems the best way to fix this.
