Add a "Next Step" with assigned person feature to Activities
Below the activity name, have a "Next Step" like in Opportunities. Also give the ability to assign that step to a specific attendee on the Activity.
We don't need the completed next steps listed, we just want to be able to update the person who has the next option on the activity.

Open Activities Page - Add in Custom Columns
We are building out our activities to utilize them across multiple different teams within our firm, and we would like there to be a way to add in a category column to the open activities view page. Specifically, the client's Servicing Advisor or the Client Contact Category (which we use to show the office location they are attached to).

Activity and Linked Accounts
I do not want to remember investments and insurance details by memorizing account numbers. Is there a better way to identify what is the account when linking to an activity? Especially if account numbers share same format from the same provider e.g., Fidelity, Pershing, Charles Schwab. The only fix right now is entering an additional description in the "Number" under "Basic Information" in the Account Details. Would that be best practice? There is no other way in the activity and linked accounts to decipher between IRA, Roth, Trust, Joint, Individual, NQ, etc. Currently, only shows account "Number", "Company", "Product" and…

I’m currently using Redtail CRM and I have a question regarding. I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with how to best manage.Specifically, I’d like to know if there’s a way to generate a custom report with certain filters.

Mutiple Tag
It would be very helpful to be able to assign multiple custom 'tags' to an activity (think hashtags). This way activities could be further deliniated and searchable.

HELLO, NEW TO REDTAIL
NEW TO REDTAIL. I WORK IN THE FIXED MARKETS! (E.G.) FIXED ANNUITIES/LIFE INSURACE/412 (e)(3)
I just manually inputted my first ANNUITY client to learn. I noticed creating an account "THERE IS NO SECTION FOR FIXED ANNUITIES?' EVERRYTHING IS GEARED FOR STOCKS/CASH VALUE LIFE INSURACE.
ANNUITIES ARE HUGE IN THE FINACIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY.....
CAN YOU PLS MAKE A SECTION FOR THIS?

Separate completed tasks from Notes
It would be nice to have completed tasks and notes in separate categories to keep things organized. Notes should just be meeting dictations and document random client requests. This way meeting notes can easily be reviewed and stored in one place, and you can easily access previous tasks if you need to relook at something you have done.
Also, you would be able to pull reports on InProgress tasks, completed tasks and previous meeting notes for the advisors3 votes -
Show the tax qualified type to the description of accounts when attaching to an activity
Right now, when you attach an account to an activity, the account shows up as "[account number] - [account type]" but most of our accounts are brokerage accounts. The information I actually need in order to work quicker is what the tax qualified status of the account is. I'd like to be able to see "[account number] - [account type] - [tax qualified type]" or hover over the account link to see it's tax qualified type.
Our group has hijacked the account type field to list the tax qualified type because it makes using the CRM so much easier, but…

Sorting of activities should follow consistent logic when an activity is changed
Currently, if I see multiple activities on the same date, whenever I complete, rollover, reschedule or delete an activity, all other activities for that date re-sort. There appears to be no regular logic to the sorting. When using this view in a meeting, the team is regularly frustrated that the list of activities continues changing every time an activity's status is changed.

Activity field on Opportunity record
Can we please link the Activities to the Opportunity record and be able to CREATE activities from the Opp and vice versa? That way, you can see client phone calls etc via activity on the Opp easily

Choose when email notifications for activities are sent
Would be great to be able to choose whether to have an activity send an email every time it's updated or not. Or choose whether an email is sent every time someone removes themself from the activity. Or choose WHOSE updates should be emailed (e.g, only the activity owner's changes go out as an email). When we have a team activity the emails get out of control.

Delete unused activity types used by others on team
I work on a large team and everyone uses different activity types, so when I create an activity I have to look through a list of like 30 activity types instead of just the five that I specifically use. It would be great to be able to customize my preferred activity types by deleting things that aren't relevant to me.

Remove automatic consolidation of completed activity notes.
New update makes completed activities on the main client page consolidate. This creates a ton of re-work in having to go back to open each closed activity to review recently completed activities. Please make this a default that can be turned on or off.

Option to remove activity note consolidation
On the main client screen, completed activity notes all condense and have to be clicked to open to review. Please make this a preference so it can be turned off. This causes a ton of re-work in having to open each one to review recent closed activities.

Automatically turning a Client Review into an Activity
I am currently automating a “Client Review” process for a financial client on a quarterly/annual basis. However, Redtail’s Client Reviews module does not allow for direct integration with the calendar — meaning you cannot turn a review reminder into a complete activity or associated notes.
My problem is:
When a Client Review is marked complete, the system does not automatically schedule the next review date or create an associated activity. So the question is: Does Redtail have a built-in integration, or is there a tutorial for:

Add "Insert Date" option to the Text editor toolbar when creating a new Activity
Add an "Insert Date" option to the Text editor toolbar when creating a new Activity. Practice360 from commonwealth had this feature and it is very helpful for when adding notes or comments to a task/activity. Helps keep track of who worked on what and when.

Add 'Created At' and 'Created By' to Activities Report for Better Admin Tracking
low hanging fruit to add "created at" and "created by" to the activities by contact report and export feature. this is important with larger firms with many admins.
