Automate Client Appointment Emails
Allow for broadcast emails to be sent to clients on a scheduled basis!!
Seems like all that needs to be done is to:
-Update the Automations Template by adding "Next Activity" in a client's CRM profile as a "Trigger Event"
-Allow for a broadcast email template to be tied to the triggering event.Advisors would be able to update the "next review" in a client's profile to whatever schedule they want, and broadcast emails saying "it's time for your appointment" can automatically be sent out!!

Upload spreadsheet of contact info and create contacts
It would be great if you could import a spreadsheet into Redtail and it would create contacts from the names and contact info on the spreadsheet.
For example, we host seminar's and we receive a spreadsheet from our marketing firm containing the attendees contact info.. We have to manually add all these contacts but it would be great if we could just upload the spreadsheet, designate where to pull the data (Example Column A is Last Name.. And have the contacts added.. It would be also great if you could have automatic activities made if requested for contacts like this.

Add Contact to Tag Group Automation
It would be very helpful to have an automation where when a Contact is imported, added or created it automatically adds them to a Tag Group.

Automation Email Alerts should show the Linked Contact
Automations are very limited. To get around this, most of our automations are set to "email user." These emails don't include the Linked Contact for the activity that triggered it. There is way too much manual work to go find the trigger activity, when it's clearly attached to a contact and that contact should appear in the email alert!

UDFs to Trigger Automations
We should be able to use UDFs to trigger automations. For example, if a client has a "Review Date" UDF for a specific part of our business (i.e. Insurance), we should be able to automatically trigger a workflow with target dates set to match the selected date. This would save a TON of time in having to regularly kickoff workflows, and would help keep our activities a lot cleaner because we wouldn't be creating activities to remind ourselves to kick off workflows.

A website Service Ticket Widget powered by Redtail that would create a task directly into our CRM for client service issues.
I want a widget on our website that would give clients the ability to submit simple service tickets right into our Tasks workflow on Redtail. It would save a bunch of time in entering tasks and duplicating what the client emails to us and then we go and enter for our admin support.

Scan and save
I have a scanner attached to my computer. I would like to have a save option directly into redtail instead of saving to my desktop, uploading to redtail then deleting off of my desktop.

Activity template–based automations
Today, Activity Templates are static and cannot trigger follow-up actions without building a full Workflow
Request: add a new automation trigger category called “Activity Template”
Trigger would allow selection from existing Activity Templates
Conditions should adapt to activity context (linked contact, status, category, assigned user, etc.)
Add a new Action Type: “Link Activity Template” from the Activity Template library
Include time-delay logic (immediate, X days/weeks later, business days)
Example use case: if Activity Template “Client Review – Completed” is selected, then automatically assign a follow-up Activity Template to the same linked contact one week later
This would reduce workflow complexity,…

It would be helpful to have a feature that auto emailed or texted clients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
Having a feature that auto emailed or texted clients in advance of their upcoming meeting would be helpful. I was told this wasn't a current option/feature of CRM.

Feature Request: Trigger Automation When an Account Changes From $0 Balance to “Funded”
Please add an automation trigger that fires when an account’s balance changes from $0.00 to > $0.00 (“funded”). This would let firms automatically notify staff to contact the client to confirm/celebrate the first funding and kick off next-step tasks.
New client accounts are often created days or weeks before assets arrive (ACATs, contributions, rollovers, etc.). During this gap, all contact data and workflow scaffolding exist, but there’s no native event in Redtail Automations / Workflows that detects the moment funds hit the account. Teams currently rely on manual monitoring or ad-hoc reports, which introduces delays and inconsistency in client communication…

automation
I would like the automation triggers expanded to include when an activity (of a certain type, etc) is created. I want to send confirmation emails to clients upon scheduling appointments, which we track using the activity feature. However, the day the activity is scheduled for is different than the day the activity is created. I want the ability to link workflows for both triggers, as this makes confirmation and reminder emails easy.

Automation of workflows based on Opportunity Stages
It would be nice to have a workflow automation that is based on an Opp Stage. We are an RIA, and it would be great to have the account opening workflow automatically started when an Opportunity is, for example, in Stage 4.

trigger event for outbound calls
Add a trigger event for "click" on phone hyperlink to initiate an outbound call, we could then automate opening a new Note in the contact file to record call details
