Contact Status Tab in Opportunities
PLEASE add a contact Status tab (Client, Prospect, Lead, etc.) on the all Opportunity report selection so we can filter and export by Statuses with open opps. Ex. all Clients with open Money Market opportunities.
OR, add us a report feature in the Custom Reports so that this can be accomplished without having to do a bulk action keyword by each open opp to generate a report. Too much time is being wasted not being able to have this info at our fingertips on the all opportunities page.9 votes -
Opportunities Tab for Client and Opportunities for All Clients need to swap locations
Move Opportunities that is under MORE to the current location for Opportunities (All)
When on a contact record you want to see all about that Contact not have to Click "More" then scroll down to Opportunities that is buried in the menu

opportunity keywords
Keywords or UDF's for Opportunities would be a super helpful feature for Redtail to add, so that we can pull a list of DST opportunities, or Financial Planning opportunities.

Opportunity location
while the source field is helpful to perhaps provide a name of the person that referred, a Location would also be helpful. This would be very helpful for those of us that work in a Financial Institution and want to report the dollars closed in a particular branch location or other user defined location.

update opportunities from the list page
It would be nice to be able to quickly update opportunities from the list page instead of needing to click into the opportunity to update the things on the list that you see.

opportunity most recent
It would be great to be able to sort opportunities by most recent update. It helps when seeing who was most recently contacted or who has not been updated or contacted in a long time.

View activities by household
It would be nice if we could see activities per household instead of per individual contact record and marked which contact the activity involves (both, person A or person B). This would reduce lost activities per household without having to switch back and forth between contact records. Especially now, some household members handle their investments individually and some investments together.

Opportunities Icon on Client Profile
I have an idea that can help identify New Asset client opportunities easily from their home profile page.
Up on the top right corner of each profile you see the icons for Edit Basic Info, Contact Card, Important Information, Common Tasks. This idea piggybacks on the "Important Information" icon that lights up Red when information is added.
Idea: There needs to be a " $ " Opportunities Icon that lights up Green when there is an opportunity added for a contact.

Opportunity Screen tune-up
It should also display the Contact(s) phone numbers so you can call right from that screen.
Same for display on the Opportunity reports to include their phone number because sometimes you may call right off that list.
On the screen AND reporting, the user should be able to determine what fields should be seen to make it clearer and easier to navigate and have the information right away.

Source from Opportunity should link to Source on Contact Record
After an Opportunity is marked as "Closed," it would be great if the Source from that Opportunity transferred to/updated the Source on the client's contact record.

Closed Lost Reasons
Have reasons why an opportunity was lost (timing, need, price, competition, poor qualification) and become a successful deal for your sales team.Then we could draw actionable insights from these closed lost reasons and act accordingly.

Opportunities Dashboard
Would like to have more flexibility and different graphs on the Opportunity Dashboard. Closed Won should be in a separate graph than your current working pipeline. Also, would like a graph of product/service type in pipeline. Also, would like to have graphs not disappear when you view full pipeline list. Plus...

Customize Type
We would love the ability to be able to customize the "type" section of Opportunities. Right now, "New Business" and "Existing Business" doesn't help us out.

Opportunities
It would be nice if you were able to tell that a client was associated with an opportunity from their main contact landing page. It would alleviate the necessity to pull up the opportunities sub-tab under each contact individually.

Connect Activities & Notes to an Opportunity
Any Activity, Note, or Email should be able to be simultaneously linked to an Opportunity in addition to being linked to a contact and/or Account. Notes inside an opportunity do not automatically link to the corresponding contact(s) and Vice Versa. It is as if Notes inside an Opportunity are hidden within the Opportunity. All Notes and Activities related to a contact should be visible in the contact view, but only the activities and Notes related to the Opportunity should show inside the Opportunity view. This would gather all email communications, notes and activites (past and future) related to that Opportunity…

Quicker access to drop down menu to change opportunity stage
In the opportunities menu... you currently have to click on edit and pull up the opportunity to mouse over to the stage, pull the drop down, and select the new stage.
Much quicker would be to have that drop down available right from the opportunities list. Click on the stage, and you get the whole list, and then you can update the stage.

Opportunity Follow-Ups
I would want the ability to set a follow-up date on opportunities. Right now you can only set a close date.
I would envision a tile on the today page that would show my opportunities to follow-up on today.
