Accounts should show the Title: Eg. John Paul and Sue Johns Joint TOD
Accounts should show the Title: Eg. John Paul and Sue Johns Joint TOD so that each account that pulls from your feed wether its DST Vision or Albridge Solutions etc that it will show who the owner is and how it is titled, along with another with this all showing on the Reports. Right now we pull up RT or a Report of accounts and there is no ownership designation so could be an IRA or NQ or Joint we wouldn't know... Please have this viewable in RT and on the reports.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Still waiting on movement here after 2 years - multiple accounts (some same type - i.e. IRA, SEP, BDA IRA) but no way of knowing which account is which when linking to a task or a note!

5 years later from first post and 17 months after review and yet no movement here. I don't understand what takes so long to make this logical change. Looking at an acct number with a not of the investment type does us no good, especially when there is more than one of the same type (2 529 plans - which one belongs to which beneficiary????). Come on RT - let's see some action!

Has anyone called Retail and asked them about this lately? We switched over 6 months ago but between this and their terrible phone app, I'm not impressed at all.

This was aggravating when we switched to Redtail last year and had 1,600 accounts imported. While it did take me quite some time, I ended up writing a "script" of sorts in Excel to help with this, although it really only helped with qualified accounts.
I exported data from DST Vision, AssetMark, and a few annuity companies. Using the "vlookup" function in Excel, I was able to look up an account number in one spreadsheet, find the type of qualified account, and put that into another spreadsheet that would then be imported back into Redtail.
This took a lot of time but much less than updating 1,600 accounts manually.
It does bug me that the Registration/type of account is in a completely separate section of Account information in Redtail than the Qualified Type field, but it is what it is. I doubt they would totally revamp that since it could drastically affect existing databases.
Please also add Beneficiary Roth IRA to the list of Qualified account types! This is important!

Albridge "integration" is a farce without account title & investment name . Suggesting that we edit thousands of accounts manually is absurd. Being told that they are working on deeper integration is a blowoff. This has been a problem for years as noted on this board. Please take this seriously and fix it. Redtail should be embarrassed.

What will it take for this to get done? it is next to meaningless to look at any screen with accounts that does not show registration.

In the Ownership Drop Down Menu there should be Individual TOD and Joint TOD

I agree- our office has just recently switched over to the new Tailwag version. We find it very difficult when we click under "accounts" and see just the account number, vendor and dollar amount.
It makes it even more difficult when we want to look at the family house hold accounts to see the total dollar value of 1 household and find all the accounts together. We cannot tell who's account is the husband, wife's or kids.
After scrolling through the comments I have tried go in and edit some of the accounts. However it takes a lot of time out of my day when I have to manually edit clients who have 15-20 accounts per household. I have to look in Albridge, and confirm the information then go back click into Redtail and update each account. Again very time consuming!
If possible please change how we view accounts and show who the account belongs to- our office we greatly appreciate the change!

Agreed - the information is getting pulled over already from the feed. Please prioritize this to save us time and money manually inputting information.

I agree with "Anonymous" comment from 03/22! It would be very helpful to be able to customize the columns of the Accounts sections on the client record page! That way I can see the "Tax Qualified Type" on the first screen and I can tell which account is which without having to drill down into each one! Thanks...

Thats why this fix is so important - you should not have to do any workarounds like those mentioned here to see the acct registration. Please - make this change happen!!

Not sure if this is a best practice, but I edited the account number to add the first name of the primary owner and the account type. This is a super help when linking accounts to notes and activities.

account title should show on every screen for quick reference. we have some clients with mutliple IRA's, Trusts, estate accts, etc. right now, we can tell what account is which on any account screen. it is very burdensome to drill down just to see an account title, then go back to first screen, then drill down again, etc. etc.
