Seminar Management Attendees should be 'Invitees'
When you open the seminar mgmt. tab. Attendees is not the proper language used. Should be invitees because attendees should be those confirmed in attending. I think should just list attendees versus confirmed. We gave the wrong amount to a cater based on that number for an event. Attendees right now is everyone invited including those not able to attend. We want the ability to have everyone invited in our seminar/event list but, total only those confirmed in attending. We had to delete people that were not attending but invited to get a proper count without having to run a report. We want to see at a glance how many attending without a lot of work.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

As a temporary workaround, you can add other options to Attendee Statuses in Site Preferences/Manage Database Lists/Attendee Statuses. We added Attending, Invited, Maybe, and Can't Go. But, it would be great if it the default was changed to "Invited."

1. On the Dashboard, change "Attendee by Status" to "Invitee by Status." It's misleading to others in the office as Attendee implies the invitee has confirmed he/she is coming.
2. Attendee Stats box - change title to "Invitee Stats." The categories should then be "Invited," "Confirmed," "Guests," and "Declined."
3. Guests - Where we enter guest information, give the option to just input a #. We have an event where someone might RSVP for a large number of guests but won't provide each guest's name. It would be nice to have one spot to enter the number of guests instead of each guest's name so the guest count is accurate whether we know the guests' names or not.
4. It would also be nice to have a 'Note' field for each guest that would show up on the Attendees for Seminar page.

I agree that this is confusing to talk about "attendees" in seminars who have been invited but are not actually attending the event necessarily. Please change the name for members of a seminar from "Attendees" to "Invitees."

I agree on this - the "Attendees" count at the top of the 'attendee management 'page is misleading. It would be nice to have a snapshot overview of total number of confirmed attending, without having to run a report or count them all out.
