need all fields available to select from for custom reporting
We need to option to select from ALL fields within a client record and their account records for custom exporting, and would love to have the option to run it in a nice PDF format.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

When creating a custom export template, there is no check box that would allow the social media URLs to be exported. The only way of getting that information in an excel sheet is through a very round about way where you must enter the url's into the exported data sheet manually. It would be considerably more efficient to include a checkbox.

There are additional accounts fields which currently cannot be exported. We really need the ability to export account fields such as "discretionary" and "managed". This simply allows us to check off which accounts we directly manage, then export all of them in order to quickly calculate our total AUM. We need this for compliance and regulatory filing purposes. Right now, those fields are pretty useless without being able to export them.

Although some users don't have the skill set to analyze thousands of rows/columns of data is no reason not to provide an Excel Report to allow a user to export out all Contact Fields to an Excel Report (reason given to me by support that this report doesn't exist). If we have custom fields, like TAG Groups, the user wants to be able to do a report on who is/is not in a Group. If a field exists in a contact record, we should be able to run a report to pull out the information in those fields, regardless of the size of the Excel Report. Let the user determine how to make the exported data useful to them.

Can you please add the spouse's driver's license field for available fields to export? currently you have All fields for client, but ONLY driver's license number for spouse. This is illogical

Thank you! I just posted the same recommendation under "Reports". Redtail can combine these if they want to.

Yes, yes, and yes! Account UDFs available in custom export templates. When exporting, we need the Excel spreadsheet to show one row for each account with each field as a separate column. With the UDF reports, each field is it's own row, so there are multiple rows for the same account.

I would like to request that Tag Groups are Added to the Custom Export Template screen. Currently the only way to export one sheet of every client's tag group is to create a UDF for tag groups. However this falls apart when you want to assign multiple tag groups to one client. The next solution is to use a keyword for each tag group then assign these keywords when a tag group is assigned. This is possible in bulk, however when changing tag groups on a regular basis (eg. for referral tracking) this rapidly becomes quite tedious. The same is true for the udf option as we are still changing two fields. Another option would be to just use a keyword or udf but why would we want to avoid one of the best features Redtail has? So the most effective and to the point solution is to offer a Tag Group section to the custom export screen. If coding for when multiple tag groups exist is a concern each tag group could be considered a (t/f) user defined field for export purposes then in the custom export screen under a separate section each tag group could be selected then checked by the system. Anyway, I'm just tossing out a few solutions and work around in the mean time. We really just need a tag group option in custom exports, period. Thank You.

Encountered an issue where a specific field was not available for search or export. This appears to be a bug or an omission.
Every available field within the database really should be searchable and furthermore, they should be exportable.
In my case, we needed to run a search on the "Objective" field which can be found in the "Know Your Client" area under "Financials".

Please add an option to export the HOH ID to a column in the custom exports. This way the export can be sorted by family and customers can easily see what contacts are in the same family.

Searching by discretionary would also be a helpful feature for us! Held away is searchable... why not discretionary as well as managed? Please add both of these fields to search.

If I want to do a custom export quarterly to contact client's cpa . My criteria is:
Contact -> Status -> EQ "Client-Active" and
Family-> Head of household -> Eq True
and Professional Contacts -> Professional Type EQ "CPA"This gives me a list of client names & email addresses with the CPA name. I also need the CPA Email on this export. It would be helpful if on the Professional contact portion of the client record can somehow retrieve the email address of the professional contact as well.

The ability to add custom address labels as a checkbox in Contact Information under Custom Export Template would greatly help.

100% agree. Right now I have to mail merge the husband and then manually add the spouse to the "quick envelope" once it's opened and it's a pain. If anyone has found a way to do this please, please let me know as this is a daily problem in our office and seems like an easy fix!
