Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.
While this is not a native feature of the CRM, we are excited to work with robust partners that are innovating in the fintech space that meet this need. GReminders is one such company that we recommend checking out.

When creating a new activity (ex. a meeting). The Contact is put in the Subject. What is the purpose of the Linked Contacts feature if not to notify the Contact of the meeting. I was told it was there to link the meeting to the person, which has already been done by putting them in the SUBJECT. It's a total redundancy! And what if we want to invite another Contact other than the main contact to the meeting?? I was told to add them as a GUEST which does not LINK them to the activity and more importantly DOESN'T pull from the Database. What is the purpose of a database if you have to copy/paste or type the email address?? The purpose of the Linked Contacts should be to notify that Contact/Contacts VIA EMAIL of the meeting. This is feature that DEFINITELY needs to be added.

It would be great to have an email reminder the day an activity is due to prompt going into RT to work. If it's a busy day I may not go into notifications in RT, but I'm usually checking my email, so that will REMIND me!!

This is a must integration for RedTail. I am new to RedTail and love the features, however, it seems that this would be something already implemented considering the time it would save and improve office efficiency and scheduling! Please integrate this soon. We are looking to outsource it.

We have task that need to be addressed monthly of weekly/. Only certain users need to be informed/reminded/emailed on that date to complete that task. How can we set that up?

Our office is getting ready to end our trial version of REDTAIL and can't believe there is no way to set reminders for specific time frames on mobile devices for when you are away from your computer. This is something we rely on daily through Outlook but can't get it to work right even with Retriever. The last update that we see on this issue was May 12, 2014 can you let us know if this is still being "Planned"?

Instead of receiving emails the day a task is created (say a task is created one week in advance), a reminder email should be sent on the day of task completion / the day of the task.

Is there a timeline for when this feature will be available? I noticed one person suggested Appointment Reminder as an option their office is using. Anyone else using this in the meantime or other integrated appointment reminder?

yes, we would like to be able to adjust the alert time before an event. 30 min. is a bit long for the exact same reason mentioned above. Perhaps allow a second alert . . .
