Allow Color Coding on the Calendar by Advisor/Employee
It would be nice to be able to color code our calendar by the person the task is assigned to rather than the type of appointment. I know others like the status quo so if there would be a way to choose between both features that would help out our company nicely.
We gave users the ability to color code the attendees to an activity via bubbles on an activity. If users dont want to leverage the bubbles there is an option in the preferences menu named "Allow Attendee Bubble View" which can be disable the bubbles and go back to a "Classic" version of the calendar.

Yes, Yes, Yes! How impossible is it when I am trying to find a time for 3 executives to meet with one external person? I can't see if those appointments are duplicates, who is available and who isn't, etc. Our front desk concierge is often called upon to quickly tell a client when an advisor will be available for a call back or if they are in the office on a given day. She already has the calendar open for all users. It would be great if she could just glance at it, look for the right color, and see where they are for that time frame rather than opening a new tab and searching for that user.

When there are multiple Advisors in the office and tasks with clients need to be 'private' to the others, the calendar colors should still be able to coordinate so the others can see who is in or out of the office. For example: If Joe has his 'out of office' coded to green and the appointment is set for his teams privacy, then Ray should be able to see 'Private' in green so he can take advantage of the office being empty.
Currently 'Private' shows one color throughout the whole calendar still leaving the other advisor in the dark as to if the other is in office or not. -

I would love to see Redtail have the calendar user interface look like Outlook's "Schedule View" so that we could see many different users down the vertical column with the time across the top. Instead of color coding the user, since they are listed on the side, make each different type of appointment/task color coded. Outlook allows me to put something on my calendar and color code it as an annual review, phone call, out of office appt, etc. I asked Brian to do this over 5 years ago though and no progress at all so far.

I looked at the demo for Tailwag and this has not been integrated into the new system as of yet. Is this going to be available on Tailwag?
Still looking for an update.
Thanks. -

Deciphering a group calendar is nearly impossible. How about allowing each user to select a color for activities/appts/calls? Then one can easily distinguish what activity belongs to whom upon glancing at the calendar. You can't always see who the user is if the activity is short, for example, without clicking into any given activity. Change color by user is more valuable to me than changing color per activity/task/etc. Group calendar in something like Outlook is so much easier to view and understand. Group view here is too cluttered. Thanks.

I have asked for this too. 6 advisors share 2 conference rooms. When I add everyone to the calendar to see if we are double-booked in the rooms, I can't easily discern who is who -everyone is the SAME color.

We are trying to make Redtail our main office calendar, so we can see where each colleague is going to be. I would like to have an option to be able to have each person be a different color on the calendar so it doesn't all blend in. (I know that you can change colors for appointments, tasks, phone calls etc)

I have access to all advisors as I am at the front desk. It would be extremely helpful if I could assign different colors for each advisor's appointments to quickly see who's appointment I'm looking at.

As the originator of this suggestion is there any update you can provide to me on this topic since it is my understand the whole reason Tailwag was created shortly after LeapFrog was so that updates of this nature could be accomplished quickly. Thanks!

Just make this optional -- we use colors to designate different types of activities (in-office meeting, phone meeting, etc.)

I manage multiple calendars and I would like the ability to color code the calendar by the individual. It would be hugely helpful to look at a calendar and know at a glance what each individual's schedule is. If the individual user prefers to color code their activities, fine but as an Admin, color coding by user would be a great addition! I have used other CRM programs that offer this option and it is positive feature.

I am managing multiple calendars and when I have them all open there is no way to determine what activity belongs to who. I would be hugely beneficial to color code by individual. If the user chooses to color code their own activities, great but as support staff, color coding by the individual would be extremely helpful!

Please let us know a time frame that this will be planned. It supposedly has been marked as planned since July 2012.

yes this would be extremely helpful, as a new user (less than 1 month) I can't believe this isn't something that would have been default.

So that you do not have to go in and create new Activity Types and assign a corresponding color for each user. For example, our Client Services Manager could view the entire office's calendars (4 users) and easily identify what belongs to who based on color...ie everything for User A is red, everything for User B is blue, etc.

This would be so helpful as I have two directors with the same name except ONE letter! And I would SO LOVE to be able to differentiate between the two with color! I hope someone does this soon - seems like an awful lot of people want the feature.... :) thank you!

It would be helpful if the Calendar had coding capabilities similar to Outlook. It's nice to be able to color code users (not just activities) so that at a quick glance someone can see - on the shared calendar - if they have an appt/call/follow-up etc... at a quick glance. (IE: David is green, Kerry is purple, Michele is Pink, Becky is blue etc...)
