Well, I guess seeing that we can link activities to notes in the opportunity satisfies the ability to link Opps to Activities? Perhaps it has to do with deleting an opportunity and the effect that might have on the Activity? I'm no techie, but it would be nice to at least know why it cannot be done.

At least tell us why it is so difficult to add this feature. It is frustrating that so many see the value but it doesn't get done. If there are technical challenges with this, at least we will know it's not that you don't value the ability to help us but rather it creates other challenges making it prohibitive.

It would be helpful if we could assign activities (like workflows) and tie them directly to opportunities.

It would be amazing if it were possible to create an event from the new opportunity tab. For example, if the next stage for an opportunity is to follow up with a client on a specific date, we should be able to simultaneously create a new calendar event for that purpose. Thanks!

When I create an Opportunity I can link it to a Workflow. Please allow us to link it to an Activity. Many times it is simpler to keep track of items this way. After all, if we can link one, why not the other?

Yes, please fix this. We track pending business in Opportunities and follow actions manually have to get added back in. It's a pain

Currently, I have to create an opportunity, then, a separate activity for associates to follow up. If there is significant news for the case, I will update in the opportunities. Day to day tracking would be done in the activity. To fix this, linking the two would be ideal.

When you create an opportunity, write a note, and create an activity from that note, it would be nice then when you're dealing with the activity that the "linked notes" under the activity would still be associated with the opportunity rather than just a note by itself and only showing the association with the activity, when it really should be associated with the Opportunity AND the activity.

From the screen to enter a new opportunity have the option to create a new activity linked to the opportunity.

Next Step in Opportunity Tracker and Next Activity under the Calendar seem to be the same. If the contact is in RT and linked to the Opportunity Tacker, Why can we not combine?

Otherwise, we currently have to enter the activity twice. Once under Next Step and once to the activity on the calendar which is linked to the contact.

There is no way to set up a follow-up activity from an opportunity. One has to create a new activity. Make this functionality accessible from within the opportunity.

In the opporutnities, add a 'next step', and that should generate an activity (or give me the option to generate an activity).

yeah, why cant we track the activities for a certain opportunity?

Unless I am not understanding correctly, an opportunity is a piece of new business you are working on right? Shouldn't you be able to link any activities or follow up to that opportunity? We only add opportunities as accounts when they are actually written and currently that is the only linking option when adding activities.
