Assign Activity to Team
I would like to be able to assign an activity to a team, instead of only being able to assign activities to users.
This works well for reassigning tasks and roles while individuals are out or unavailable.
For instance Joe Smith (JS) handles all of our client paperwork. Jane Doe (JD) is the paraplanner in the office. I have created a team: "Client Service - JS". Joe Smith is currently the only member of that team. I would like to be able to assign activities (like processing client paperwork) to Client Service - JS. If Joe Smith decides to leave the company suddenly and I need Jane Doe to cover temporarily, I can make Jane the only member of the team Client Service and now she will receive all those actions. Once I hire the replacement for Joe Smith as Sandra Brown, I can now make Sandra Brown the only team member under Client Service and those activities pass to her.
This is doable all without having to reassign any activities, just who is filling in for a role. This would assist with long term vacations, promotions, reassign roles among people in the company, or assign activities to multiple individuals where it does not matter who handles that particular activity as long as it is handled.
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.

This is also needed for when I have repeated meetings I want to make sure the whole team is included in. Instead of adding it manually to each activity when we get new team members, it should be dynamically updated.

We have a staff of 7 and I enter a lot of meetings and events that I want everyone in our office to be aware of and it would be much quicker to include a team than to enter each user within the activity. I hope this feature is added soon.

Should be able to assign to a team as well as a role. If I am putting an action out for 5 years I don't want to assign it to whoever is our current client service person but to whoever that happens to be in 5 years.

This would be helpful for assigning recurring activities or tasks to teams and then when team members change, the activities show up or go away from someones calendar automatically.

Many activities are conducted by teams, so assigning a team to an activity helps maintain proper oversight, managements and visibility of on going projects and tasks.
This would be very beneficial not only for activities but quickly adding team meetings to everyone's calendar and insuring communications across the staff is efficient and effective.

Per your request of adding additional information to this suggested request...Within an activity, one is able to elect the attendees of a meeting based on electing each person, but I don't believe you can add a team under the Attendees. Could the concept of 'teams' also be under the Attendees, but list the names of what the team is comprised of (along with the team name) that allows it to be on each person's calendar? Also, if the 'Team Notify' that allows teams to be created could visibly list the names of those that the team is comprised of? May not be specific to Activities, but utilize the same concept of 'Teams' from 'Team Notify' to 'Attendees.' This way, if you have a team setup, activities may go across to each. Let me know if questions.
