Like Wealthbox, allow me to cc/bcc a unique email dropbox that will attach the email to a contact record/note.

Create Permissions in the Email Archive View on main dashboard
There needs to be a way to set permissions for viewing all archived emails. I am the owner/HR manager and cannot have all my emails available for my whole team to see. This has been a 10 year issue with Redtail they refuse to fix. We will be looking for a new CRM. So disappointed!

Forward e-mail from e-mail addresses in a quicklist
It would be great to have a QuickList of High priority contacts that is forwarded to a manager or other closely monitored e-mail address. It would assure that there is not a single point of communication failure if someone was trying to reach a single advisor.

Create an email aggregation box on the dashboard / home page that would only have emails from contacts that exist in Redtail
Being able to have a heads up that focused on the most important emails that need to be addressed daily minus the junk mail and other clutter

Configuration for Sent Emails to Auto-Save to Notes
Can we please get a way to manage e-mail settings to have all of our emails sent through Redtail automatically save a copy to the notes that way we do not always have to manually check the save to notes box at the bottom of the email screen? This creates too much room for error in the potential of forgetting to check that box and email history is important.

zimbra email calendar
We have Redtail Hosted Email (Zimbra) and Redtail CRM. If we add a meeting to our Zimbra Calendar it doesn't Sync with the CRM calender and vice versa. I guess we didn't do our research enough because it seemed logical to us for Redtail Email and Retail CRM to sync the calendar. We don't use Outlook on our desktops so the Zimbra Outlook Connector wouldn't work for us. Thanks!

Email distinction for Internal vs. External
RT captures all email history for anyone with an email listed on the database. However, it has become an issue internally because email rights allow viewing private internal (HR) discussions. This has caused management to remove all employee emails from the RT database, so we can no longer research email history unless it is just between you and the client. This adds to going back in forth with other teammates to confirm if they spoke to a client or followed up on a particular issue. Weekly Email Reminder
Have Redtail on a weekly basis a list of the Reminders found on the Today page. That way the advisor knows to reach out to the client whether something business specific or simply to say happy birthday.

I would love to send automatic emails to my clients for their birthdays, etc. As well as when they have life changing events coming up or appointment reminder emails.

Email Archiving - Show recent emails on Contact's Dashboard
One reason we wanted to use the Email Archiving service was because we thought it would show the email communications on the Contact's Dashboard - it does not. It would be great to have the option to configure the Contact Dashboard to include not just notes, but also email correspondence. Having to click into "Email History" to view any client communication is not convenient and wastes precious time. Having it readily viewable on the Contact Dashboard would be much more beneficial. Can we get a more robust Text Editor for email templates so we can match format for emails sent from Outlook>

emailing out of "things to do today"
It would be helpful to have the ability to select contacts from the "Things To Do Today" page and send them a bulk email. Ofter we have contacts that we are just keeping in touch with. That email out is ofter the same language time and again. It would be great if we can select the clients and send them through our outlook email/

Email collaboration
So much of client service is centered around email these days it would be great for teams to be able to collaborate without forwarding a message to a colleague to ask a question, or shooting an FYI to your entire team. The ability to discuss and share emails with a team would be an great additional feature

Increase attachment size
Increase size of file allowed in email attachment - currently says nothing bigger than 5MB is allowed. Our PRs are larger than that size with all the graphics.

Current email feature within Redtail does not allow files to be attached from two different locations (folders). Doing so will overwrite the first attachment with the new one. It seems like a defect since this would be unexpected behavior and no message is provided to the user that the prior attachment(s) have been removed by attaching subsequent files.
I request that this feature be added or this defect be fixed to allow adding attachments from more than one folder without deleting the previously attached files.

email archiving - filter
One of the primary needs that Email Archiving serves in the CRM is to enabling us to better monitor and act on emails between (a) our staff and (b) our clients/prospective clients. Unfortunately, there is no functionality to enable filtering or permissioning, which creates two significant issues.
First, emails that are confidential or sensitive cannot be screened from being viewed by all staff. For example, partners' emails about employee compensation and firm tax returns cannot be basically public information. If 100% of all emails are viewable by all staff, email archiving is not usable.

Tracking Redtail CRM in Outlook
Hello, is it possible to set up manual tracking for Redtail contacts in outlook? For example, if you send an email to or about a client can we add a "Set Regarding" button option to look up the client in Redtail and link it to the email. Once it has been tracked, we should be able to see it within the client record of Redtail.
