allow for user and client invitees on a calendar to accept or decline invite and add to external calendar
similarly to how we can invite people to calendar events in Outlook or Zimbra
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

any update on this issue? What has a higher priority than this?

Any update on this feature? We don't want to schedule people without asking them if they are available first.

I agree with these comments, is there an update or timeline on this suggestion?

We really need the ability to accept or decline at least appointments on the calendar. Allowing someone to remove themselves is not sufficient, especially if they play a key role in the meeting.

Once we add an appointment onto the system with several attendee can you add where the attendee can accept or decline the appointment?.

I agree AND when someone invites me via outlook, I should be able to confirm and have it link to redtail. Redtail competitors are integrated with Outlook.

When setting up appointments, there should be the capability to invite a contact to the meeting. The contact should receive an email to Accept, Decline or Request New Time. It should then be added to the calendar.

Send calendar invite to clients w/ availability to select open times to meet

The lack of this feature alone is making RedTail obsolete! Other CRMs allow for much easier calendar invites (both to send and receive) and Outlook / Google Calendar have had this available forever. PLEASE get this developed. I haven't seriously shopped for another CRM but it's getting to the point where the pain of staying with RedTail is surpassing the pain of leaving.

In the Redtail/Outlook integration, calendar invites can't be sent to clients. Also, there should be the ability to set up a Webex/Skype call from Redtail, since it can't be done at all if Retriever is set up. If you set up a Webex from Outlook, it doesn't even go out.
Thanks! -

Is there a CRM besides Redtail that does not have this feature? "Under review" for 30 months?

There are a couple of programs that will handle this and integrate with Redtail. ScheduleOnce (I use) integrates automatically with Microsoft Exchange and integrates through Retriever but there is also an integration through Zapier directly with Redtail without going through Outlook. Other options are Calendly and TimeTrade. Some are free, others come with a minor cost (ScheduleOnce is ~$12/month).

Is this in development? There's obviously a need. Would really appreciate an update before I spend hours trying to find a workaround. Thanks!

When we set a meeting on our calendar with a contact, you should have the ability to send out a simple meeting invitation.

This is my only gripe. Currently we can only confirm appointments. We cannot send invitations to a meeting and accept a response or suggestion for another time. It would be VERY useful to have an invitation function like most other calendar programs (Outlook, Google, etc.)

Totally concur with Dan B. I see you're getting right on it - Jan of 2016. Come on guys, this has been a feature of ****** Outlook since the beginning of time.

I just registered for a Redtail webinar. When I select "Add to Calendar", it has the options of Outlook, iCal & Google, but not Zimbra/Redtail. Our office is moving away from Outlook. Can you add an option to put it directly onto our Redtail calendar?

This would be a great addition. I believe this is one area that is lacking with redtail. We are having to create duplicate calendar items to be able to invite a client/guest so that they can add the activity to their calendar. It's great that a guest can be added to an activity but it needs to go the next steps as well and allow the guest to add the activity to their calendar. This is a VERY important feature.

It would be nice to be able to invite a client to a meeting through Redtail and allow them to accept the invitation, similar to what you are able to do in Outlook.

We use group activities for wholesaler meetings to our office, and an invite accept/decline would be a lot more efficient than just including everyone as an attendee, where everyone gets notifications as advisors say in the notes column whether they will attend or not.
