allow for user and client invitees on a calendar to accept or decline invite and add to external calendar
similarly to how we can invite people to calendar events in Outlook or Zimbra
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Is there a way for you to have LPL add Redtail as a link to add an event to your calendar? They give you choices of Outlook and sometimes Yahoo and Google, but never Redtail.

How long do we have to wait for this? Others have been offering it for YEARS.

When we include a guest in an activity, they received email notification, but their calendar does not populate, as it did when we used Outlook.

For calendar events to include contacts in RedTail

When we “Invite” a contact to the meeting they would receive a notification (an email) where they can “Accept”, “Decline” or “Request a new Date/Time” for that meeting and it would automatically add it to the calendar. In other words have the Redtail Calendar have the capabilities (perhaps the look too) of Outlook that include adding activities (as well as editing them) and inviting contacts to the meeting.

Excellent Suggestion my team and I would like this feature as we are trying to use redtail for all our scheudling

When is REDTAIL going to offer this? Frankly, we shouldn't have to be asking 5 times for a basic feature.

I agree that we need this and we should be able to brand it with our own logo. The current "add guest attendees" feature does not let us brand it and goes to a client branded with Redtail's branding. This is unacceptable and needs to allow us to brand them to our company. Until then, our firm will not use it. Otherwise it is a great feature and would be handy to remind clients of meetings and tasks that are assigned to the client.

Michelle.Machiri, I believe, if you look all through this system of suggestions and requests, people are not looking for an Outlook solution for sharing appointments, but a Redtail solution. In 2016, a technology company should seek to fulfill a request or add a feature in a way that is simple, efficient, and accomplishes the goal in a way that exceeds expectations. Entering an appointment in one system (Redtail) only to have to sync, go find that same appointment in Outlook, open it, hunt for the contact and their E-mail, enter that, then save and send a meeting request...... That's not simple or efficient and it certainly does not exceed expectations. Heck, if that appointment gets cancelled or changes, links may be broken, people may or may not get notified. Who knows wha may happen.

Would like this to be available without having to use outlook. Not all advisors do...

When working for another financial firm we had this ability and it really enhanced the client experience. When you set the appointment in the system, it immediately emailed the client a appointment confirmation. It was a great resource.

For the last 5+ years, when I go to the doctor, lawyer, accountant, or other professional appointment, when i set the appointment, these professionals send me an Invitation in E-mail and all I have to do it click/tap on "Accept", "Decline:, "Request new Date/Time and, Bingo, it's on my calendar. I didn't have to write anything down, I didn't have to take a card from the admin and go manually enter it. They just send me the invitation.
PLEASE include an option to "Invite" a contact or contacts to a meeting. -

We would like to add the option of accepting or declining activities on the calendar. If multiple people are invited to one activity, we would like to be able to see who accepts the activity or if someone is unable to attend, then they would be able to decline the activity. The administrative team supports many advisors and this keeps it simple for activity appointments with clients and wholesalers.

Please allow us to send invitations to clients for meeting through redttail, and then have the meeting appear on the calendar of the "sender" or designated person.

When you create an event in google or outlook you can send multiple email address (e.g. clients) a notification of the calendar event (including time zones) where they can accept their attendance of the event. We have many clients that say "just send me a calendar invite" and we can't do this is redtail to our knowledge.

when creating a new activity, have the option, like google calendar, to invite the person involved in the mtg. Right now you can notify a user or a guest. Guest field email should auto-populate with emails in database so you can confirm with the client for example, the meeting details.

Is it possible to have an "accept/decline" feature for activities and meetings (like Outlook tasks does)? This would enable us to know that the person assigned to an activity or meeting has actually seen it and accepted it. If a meeting request is declined, we would then know to reschedule.
