Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.

It'd be very helpful if we could automate an email to meeting attendees when an appointment is booked in Redtail. Please add functionality so that when the scheduler creates an appointment, auto generated emails go directly to the attendees and perhaps even reminders at set intervals will be sent out (ie. 24 hours before the meeting, etc.).

This, your top request will be 7 years old next month, it has been "under review" for 2.5 years. Is it now safe to assume that if we really want this feature we should look toward a different provider? It seems that 3000 subscriber requests (almost twice the next closest request) with 239 comments is just not enough. If you cannot figure out how to implement at least have the courtesy to inform us of your failure.

I saw a couple of other people have posted this and it shows as "Completed," but from what I can tell, it is not... We are trying to find a solution that will automatically text our clients to confirm appointments the day before (like doctor's and dentist's offices do). A previous user had submitted this idea, but the response said that it has been implemented through Speak. However, I watched one of the webinars on the new "Speak" function, and there was nothing mentioned about this feature... Is this something that Speak actually does, or not? I am not talking about manually texting someone - we need the system to AUTOMATICALLY text each client or contact to confirm for the next business day's appointments. Is there a way to do this in Redtail, either with Speak or an external integration? If not, this should definitely be added!

I love workflows, reminders, and automations. It would be great to combine them to automatically contact clients. Eg auto-text them on their birthday, auto-email them 24 hrs before a scheduled appointment, auto-email them a week before review anniversary with a link to book appt

Create a function that allows you to either email or send out a snail mail appointment confirmation to clients.

We would love this. Currently, when we get new clients, on their intake form, we ask for who their cell phone provider is. I have a list of all the email extensions as a workflow and then I create an email address, mark it other and call it "SMS"

Automated text reminders for appointments. Just like Drs offices & so many others do. For an office like ours with all client engagement inputted into Redtail, it seems redundant to then input that info to a 3rd party to handle our appointment reminders.

Appointment reminder text service that runs from within RedTail CRM would be a true value. My doctors do this frequently. Fits within the paperless office concept. However, there should be an option to "turn off" the reminder on an individual client basis in case they do not like this means of contact.

This would be perfect - right now we have to resort to a third party system to manage automated reminders to our clients, which means we have to keep two separate calendars and enter every appointment in each calendar.

my dental office sends me text reminders and allows me to confirm with their office or reschedule my appointment. this would be a great feature for our CRM. Their dental CRM does this for them. I would really like for my offices to be able to do this.

Yes, they do. The new Speak, but not everyone needs all the criteria that comes with it and the fee is a little much.

I agree too. We need a program where we can just send text messages to our clients reminding of there upcoming review. The new Speak that RedTail came out with is a nice program, but it is a little expensive and we don't need all the extra stuff that it provides.

I agree. And a text reminder for the advisor wouldn't be unwelcome either, especially if they happen to be out of the office and have forgotten they had a meeting.

Human Resource to call out for reminders is an expensive way to utilize your staff. It's also difficult to retain good people to just call and remind. Consumers today are looking for text messages and email reminders for upcoming meetings and we'd love to see that as an option for items put on our advisors calendars.

It would be great if within the client appointment box we could check a box to share the appointment activity with the client that sends an a notification when scheduled. Then sends a reminder two to one week out prior to the actual appointment date automatically. This is an available feature within Outlook and is a good practice tool within a CRM structure especially when everyone is going mobile. Please execute within your system....

It would be nice if Redtail would send you a reminder a day or two (or whenever the user specifies) before a task/activity is due. If you have the app on your phone, a notification on your cell would be AMAZING since we don't always log in to Redtail but we always check our cell phone notifications and emails. For staff, sometimes they have such a large to do list that a reminder would be nice to keep everyone on track.
