Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.

Just to reiterate: This reminder needs to be in RT and not tied to some external link such as ICal or Google. Reminders need to be time oriented such that we get a visual reminder pop-up at a specific time on a specific date to do an action > a task, an appointment, a phone call. I am new to RT (just one week) but this is something I cannot believe was not part of the initial rollout of this program years ago. How could anyone developing a CRM not have this as a first priority and not something "Under Review" It boggles the mind!!!

Ditto Mitchell Keil. Never seen a calendar without a reminder feature. Also some type of notice when an email arrives so I don't have to keep checking all day.

Badly needed. A 2-way link to iCal would solve this, as we could get reminders though Google and have a more convenient way to see our calendars as well.

No calendaring system is worth having which does not have a reminder capabilty. Appointments, Tasks and Calls all need to have a reminder setting. I may want to be reminded of all appointments 15 minutes prior to the appointment. I may want to set a task reminder to do it at a certain time. I certainly may want to be reminded to make a call at a specific time. I can't imagine the reason Redtail would not have this simple capability.

I think every other calendar I have used has had this function. I am trying to get my entire office to use Redtail as their primary scheduling tool and this function is needed by those whose schedules are the busiest- the sooner this feature is added the better!

We were prior ACT users and I used the reminder feature on a daily basis. Please consider adding this feature ASAP! I tend to forget to do things if I'm not reminded of them.

That would be the best!!! The whole office would love to have a window pop up and inform us of events on the calendar. The little red alert in the lower right is useless!!!! It has too work on a PC and a Mac.

We've been using ACT! for years. Now that we are up to 20 users, upgrade are a big expense. I like Redtail, but without activity alarms, it's a deal breaker for us. I'm going to cancel my 3 day old subscription tomorrow and stick with ACT until Redtail gets it.

A customized email reminder would be a HUGE help, as it would hit wherever my phone and I happen to be. Currently if I am setting up an appt for three people in our office, I have to set it up three times in Redtail, and then three times on other calendars so that the appt is tracked in our CRM program AND everyone involved will get a reminder. (And then if there is a change in the appt, I have to go back and fix it on both calendars for each person AGAIN!) Big waste of time!

Advanced reminders would be such a great addition to RT. It is so inconvenient to have to set the appointment in outlook or on my phone when we have the RedTail system. I am surprised RT has not done this already. Reminders has my votes! Thanks!

Addendum!!!
I just missed two important calls that were scheduled for clients this morning because unexpected "fires" occurred in the office that had to be deal with. They were very important and had been scheduled but because I was absorbed in the other matter didn't check the calendar until after the time.
The lack of POP UP REMINDERS for calendar items has become the bane of my existence with Redtail. Other than that issue, we love the program.
