Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.
While this is not a native feature of the CRM, we are excited to work with robust partners that are innovating in the fintech space that meet this need. GReminders is one such company that we recommend checking out.

I don't sync to other calendars, but am used to Goldmine where you can set pop-up alarms that will alert you to urgent things (and gives you the option to either turn off the alert or be reminded again at a future point in time where you set the interval, e.g., 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.)

This would be an amazing feature!

This is a standard feature in ACT (which I formerly used) and common in a lot of CRM programs. Sort of the basics. I am more interested in the email notice than the text but a text backup would be fine.

I'm in the same camp at hfg1551. We've used Redtail for sometime now, but really miss the pop up alarm feature that Goldmine had. And, yes, it was a life saver many times. And, the reason for my input today is that I missed the beginning of a very important conference call because I was engrossed in another program doing research and didn't see the little red alert thingy at the bottom of the Redtail page...because I wasn't in Redtail! Please add this feature....today! :-)

Definitely a 'must have feature'. Disappointed that there is no way to currently do this.

Now that the new Leapfrog is out, this is likely the only real clear disadvantage I see to the RT system. I would hope that this feature gets added and very soon!

It would also be great if this was documented in the notes for the client.
"Appointment Reminder sent to client on such and such date and time."
The Advisor assigned to the appointment should be "cc'd" or "bcc'd" on the email.

This is a "must have" feature of a CRM

It is hard to remember to look at the bottom of the screen and if you miss it then the alert goes away. Would love to be able to put an alarm to pop up when it works for us.

Also, if i set a review - why not be able to set an appointment at the same time?

Retriever still works in Leapfrog.

We would also like to see an email sent out to the client to notify them of their appointment when we first set it up in the calendar.

This is extremely critical in my mind. Gold mine has this feature and it has been a lifesaver many times. Since switching to RedTail (which in most respects we love) several important scheduled items have been missed because there hasn't been a pop up reminder.

I agree - we would like to have reminders for the meeting activities as a help to the advisor as well - that way they will not "forget" the meeting.

Also, be able to mark cancelled appointments so we know the full relationship trend of a client or potential client.

I agree with Adam. If we can customize these notices that would be great. It would also be helpful to have a pop up that occurs on a client only if you go to schedule an appointment.

Yes, have reminders pass to outlook or smart phones when created in Redtail. Currently no reminders are passed from Redtail. When out of the office there is no ability to receive a reminder for an appointment or task. This inability may keep us from using the Redtail calendar as primary and we may have to continue to only create calendar entries in outlook.

This would be a great feature! Especially if they had push notifications for the iphone and ipad!

pop-up screen would announce something has been added to my calendar. Even if I don't have Redtail as my active window the pop-up would bring it to my attention.
