Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.
While this is not a native feature of the CRM, we are excited to work with robust partners that are innovating in the fintech space that meet this need. GReminders is one such company that we recommend checking out.

Please create an automation that allows users to automate emails to be sent to their clients "X" number of days before an appointment has been scheduled as a reminder. This has been repeatedly requested by members of our organization, and would be a huge time-saver.

Wondering why this is the top voted for suggestion, that was created 5 years ago but the feature is still not available??? Even after an admin has tagged it as planned... that was 2 and a half years ago, is this feature still going to be added?

When creating an meeting with a client by adding an activity, Redtail asks what attendees and gives the options of user/guest. The users chosen get a very nice email. Why can't this be sent to the client as well? Simply give us the option to add the contact to the list and let them be notified by the email notification as well.

Really need to have an email sent out to clients confirming their next day meetings.

It would be nice to have the CRM send email reminders once a week to the clients who are scheduled for appointments the following week.

It would be nice to no only have the ability to customize the alarm to be the day before etc but also to have it 5 min before.

Would love a snooze on the alarm

It would be great if reminders could be turned off. They are a great feature, however not all of our users need or want them. Since we have 4 areas that we need to look at on a daily basis, it would be great if we could further customize the reminders with the ability to assign them to specific users, or turn them off completely for certain users.

A custom pre-formed email, that is triggered to the preferred email at (Activity Date) - (# of days before). There will need to be the ability to customize each pre-formed email based on the activity that is created. Essentially, depending on the type of meeting being held, an email is sent to the client 2 weeks before the activity, that email is a preformed email that is specific to the type of activity. This email (in our case) will request that the client furnish certain documents before the meeting.

Upon creation of a client, I would like to have the ability to send email via automation thanking them for coming in, saying it was nice to meet you, etc.... I would also like to set up quarterly meeting workflows where an email can be sent automatically to particular client groups (ex. quarterly review emails to security clients, annual review meetings to insurance clients).

It would be nice if there was a feature that could send out automated appointment reminder emails.
We have used a tool called vCita which has a calendar that prospects can schedule appointments on, then they would receive 2 email reminders.
The problem is that vCita can only sync with Google Calendar, and GC is pulling an iCAL feed from Redtail. It only syncs once a day which is too slow for us.
Hopefully, Redtail can partner up or integrate with another tool to help with automated emails.

It would be helpful to have more choices for alerts than default, small dog & large dog. The default alert sounds like an email hitting your inbox rather than an alarm.
Also, it would be nice to be able to choose when you want to hear the alert. 5 minutes prior to appt, 15 minutes prior to appt, etc.
Thanks!

This is an awesome idea and would cut down on a lot of follow up time that is spent reminding clients to complete tasks.

I see a similar idea is also under review with some 845 votes!

It would be great to be able to select an automatic appointment reminder to a contact via email a day or two before the scheduled appointment. Retail could use the default email program to accomplish this task with a customized message.

Agree. I might want to be reminded 5-15 minutes before a phone call I need to make, but want to be reminded 30 minutes before for a lunch I have to drive to.

Another 6 months has passed while this suggestion has languished on the scrap heap of good ideas for Redtail that don't get done. See below.

Agree strongly with this request for enhancement. I've added my votes, but this would be a big improvement over the "bell". My older reps don't always open Redtail at beginning of they day, but they sure do go to emai. Please consider all users (including those not technology savvy, and older/seasoned reps) who use the system.

It would be great if the little drop-down arrow next to a task had an option to send a reminder email to the person to whom the task was assigned. For example, if I am reviewing if a certain task was completed on time but I see that this task is overdue, it would be great to just click a button and send the person to whom the task was assigned a quick reminder. Thank you!
