Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.
While this is not a native feature of the CRM, we are excited to work with robust partners that are innovating in the fintech space that meet this need. GReminders is one such company that we recommend checking out.

Patient Prompt is a medical use cloud based solution, can it be integrated with RT?

When we have an upcoming meeting we should be able to set a reminder to come via text and email and if we want a reminder 1 day before or 1 hour before. The basic free google calendar allows you to set multiple reminders and now I add whatever is in my RT calendar to Google calendar just so i get reminders. I think this has been asked for over and over.

Let's be realistic folks. This is the top vote getter of all times, it was originally posted nearly 5 years ago and Redtail laughingly posted that it was "Planned" 21 months ago. If it's not included in Tailwag, with all of its bugs, foibles and limitations, it is definitely NEVER coming to Leap Frog and may take another 5 years to reach Tailwag. This should be really embarrassing to them but it's not.

Please get this going! I have missed 3 appointments already this year because the alert feature was too small and not in my face.

can you enhance the program so when we set an activity or post an item on the calendar we can automatically then create a reminder. For example if we have an upcoming client appointment can we set a reminder for some period ahead of time so we are reminded and not have to add multiple tasks?

It would be very helpful to have a notification alert for meetings "x" amount of time before it happens. We have had several webinar calls we have missed. Would be such a great tool to help us stay on track throughout the day.

Having the capability to assign a reminder specific to an individual activity. For example, I schedule a meeting for another user and he wants to be reminded of this activity one week prior. Then when scheduling a call for this user, the reminder should be 15 minute prior to the activity. This would be very helpful!

Hopefully this will integrate email and the crm to one system instead of going back and forth.

I'll add to this request. We're a new RIA just starting our 2nd year of business and our two advisors are in the field and in client/prospect appointments almost exclusively. Some type of alert system would be a fantastic add to Redtail. Perhaps offer multiple options and allow the user to customize what works best for them.

We should be able to set a length of time prior to the activity at which we want to be alerted. 30 minutes isn't enough time to prepare for a client review, for example!

There's another post from 2011 with 794 votes on this and not even a "Planned" status.
A modern CRM should have the option of sending a meeting/appointment request to anyone by E-mail.
Outlook has done this for years.
Google's Calendar does it.
My phone does it.
There is a standard system that is used my multiple systems. This is basic functionality in 2016.
If you want to get fancy... Yes. Incorporate an integration with a text service that will send out a text reminder. That idea is only 4 years old. -

Would like the ability to assign clients tasks and track them through completion. In a nutshell, you enter the task for the client (i.e. write will, refinance mortgage, provide documents, etc.) and set deadlines for the client to complete. The system automatically sends email reminders to the client who can indicate they need more time or have completed the task and progress is automatically recorded.
It would also be great to take this concept to the next step whereby you can automate sending out emails for setting up appointments (i.e. annual reviews). Or how about an automated reminder/request for the client to upload/send/deliver documents that need to be updated in our files on occasion (i.e. wills, tax returns, statements, etc.). The idea is that we can enter a "Client task" in Redtail and establish the "deadline" of the task and the frequency of the automated email to be sent to the client.

Some activities we are creating are to be completed in the future, so no urgency. It would be great to be able to add a reminder date as sometimes it may take a few days or weeks to actually complete the task. As the urgency grows.

I think the only way to do this now is with Microsoft Outlook's calendar function and the RedTail link software called Retriever.

We've been using Redtail since 2010 (yes, before Leapfrog) and this was an issue back then. If anyone is still waiting for a solution that will be implemented with Leapfrog they should stop. If anything is done, it is extremely unlikely that it will be retroactive to the earlier version.

Is this a feature yet? If not can I please have a status on it?

An daily email that provides me with the relevant info for the day. It should be minimally customizable but include some important info such as activities due that day, task, and reminders like birthdays, etc. You should be able to turn it on and off.

It would be very helpful if Tailwag had a popup reminder for upcoming appointments or activities, like there is in Outlook. It could be something like the popup you get when you get a new email that would just come up on your screen to remind you of an upcoming event. It could be set for a couple hours or days prior.

I'd like to add to this request. It would also be great if the activity reminder could be sent via email to a person's outlook email. Currently, as mentioned above, the email notice goes out upon setting up the activity, and in our case, it goes to an outlook email (since we all use outlook). But when it's time for the actual activity reminder to go out, it doesn't go to that same email. It only makes sense to send it to the same email as the initial notice, otherwise we don't receive the activity reminder.
