Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.

Any update on when we will be able to set up calendar/task notifications/alerts? need them to alert to phone as well. Tara (Development Team Business Analyst, Redtail Technology) responded on May 12, 2014 that you all are "looking into several ways to do this, and hope to have a better Alert system rolled out within the coming months!"

So far, there isn't any sort of real alert in your system that serves to remind me of a task or activity due that day. If I've assigned myself a task a month in advance, it's difficult to remember said task unless I receive an email. It would be extremely beneficial if I got an email from the system that reminds me I have billing or some kind of paperwork due that day. I was told you have a bell with an exclamation mark in the top right corner that shows up for appointments, but again, not very helpful and nothing whatsoever that helps reminding your users of future tasks.

It would be helpful if there was a feature that sent an email Alert to users 30minutes prior to a scheduled activity that they are assigned to rather than just a notification within Redtail CRM. Our advisors are rarely logged into CRM as our support staff handles the calendar and therefore they do not see these notifications.

I know that we, as users, can receive notifications when an activity is assigned to us. I want Redtail to be able to automatically send out a reminder email or text to clients when a specific activity is assigned to them (appointment, phone call, etc...), as well as 1 week before the date, and lastly, on the day before the actual activity is to take place. Ideally, I, as the advisor, could choose the specific time-frame for the client to be reminded, but even something general, such as I suggested, would be better than nothing. Thakn you!

It would be cool if there was a feature that would pop up and remind us of things for clients when we tag them for appointments... for example if we need a client to sign something or a reminder about a client's vacation they're taking but don't have an appointment set just yet... and a couple weeks later they call to schedule, once we link their name a pop up would remind us of the signature needed or to ask about the vacation!

I haven't been working with Redtail for long but I was really surprised that a CRM didn't have this feature. I'm not extremely tech savvy but this seems like technology that should easily be able to be implemented with the current software. I hope that they can get this up and running soon. It would be extremely beneficial.

Add a feature that would notify you by sound and/or pop up on your screen when a specified time is reached before a task and/or appointment. Example: need to make phone call to client at 2pm. Add acitivity in calendar at 2pm and then option to set an alert/notification that will pop up at that time to remind you to make the call.

When you set an appointment or calendar event you should be able to also set a reminder. That reminder should be flexible - ie: email or text & the time should be able to be set individually or default. For example I have a 8:00 appointment I want an email or text the night before or for a 12:00 appointment a text 30 minutes before.
