Billable Time Tracking
I'd like to see a check box "billable" so we can know if the time spent with or on the client was billable. and have a report that we can print/export that would have the clients name, and activity details such as duration, and description
Redtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.
This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Many advisors need to track the time they spent on each project, it would be great if Redtail had this functionality.

I'd like to know when the other users log in and log out on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

I would suggest it be in the NOTES section or ACTIVITY (like "category) and we select how much time the task took. Ex: I had a task to call Prudential. I had to call them 2X to get the correct information and was out :45 min on first call and :50 min on the 2nd call. So when we have clients that make us do a bunch of work but don't buy any new products, we would have an option to run a search/report that would show our clients that cause "the most headaches". Haaaa.

We can track our reps with their daily/weekly actives. Number of calls, in-person meetings, branch walk-ins. We would be able to add the activities that we could track.

most important aspect is to be able to show clients just how much time we really do spend on their benefit, relates to ability to bill, set fees, practice management and service menu creation to match with wealth, needs and our time involved. This should have been done long ago with the industry moving to fees and the amount of financial planners finally doing real planning.
It is also good for training and tracking of EE time usage per clients and their activities to get better and more efficient or restructure according to abilities. -

This should be a feature by now, how is this request 2 years old?!

I agree, would be helpful for a number of reasons. Client billing, measuring overall cost-effectiveness and per-client profitability.

Our old Act! CRM had this and we have been tracking time for years. VERY important if you want to understand profitability/expense per client. Especially true if you are charging hourly/project fees. Please consider, or at least have a vendor(s) with an app be able to provide service. Thank You for listening.

This would be a useful way to both in house make sure all clients are being serviced fairly and so we can show clients how much time we spend versus how much they pay to retain us.

This has moved up into a very important item for my firm. Benchmarking, time spent on service, planning, meetings, trading, and other items we do for clients is critical in understanding our profitability per client, value proposition to clients, and billable time to them. Please add this!

The other purpose of this would to allow for us to benchmark to our profitability on a clients. Knowing how much time you spend and who (the who is important because of different billing rates apply based on the level of the person) is performing the activity can help us understand our costs that go into service a client. We can then leverage that information to set our fees appropriately.

This is something that I will need in my practice sooner or later. It makes incredible sense for it to be integrated with my existing CRM rather than a stand-alone data point. Please! And Thanks!
