Reg BI
The BI Dates - appreciate the fields but needs to have some additional features and capabilities.
The Report - Fiduciary Client Summary includes this information, however this specific field is not searchable. The effective date was 7/1/2020 - having the ability to filter by date of even accounts opened would be great, but CRS date Sent and Signed is NOT searchable so you have to pull the existing report export to Excel than do a Data Sort because of all the additional fields that are imported.

Contact information important
It would be nice if there was a way to email a client a "form" to fill out with their contact information that then auto imports back into Redtail. And of course it notifies you when a new contact has been added.

Favorites
Can you switch the first item on the contact page back to Clients A-Z instead of Favorites. I don't have time or a desire to pick "favorites" amongst my clients and having to click from "Favorites" to Clients A-Z every time I go in to find a client, is just an unnecessary step in my already crowded schedule.

Business Contact Optional
We would like the option NOT to create a business contact when a new contact record is added. In addition, the functionality to delete a business record. It is clogging up the contact view. Thank you.

Add another default option in Preference
On the Today page, left column, select contacts automatically defaults to the favorites. When I select contacts, I prefer to have all my contacts listed from A-Z to show...Not favorites. Either move the favorites tab as a secondary option or create a default under own individual preference.

Include client name on Contact Card / Contact Details
The client's name is displayed only in the upper left, while pertinent contact details are often in the lower right on the screen. It would be great if the name also appeared somewhere in the Contact Card or Contact Details windows. I.e. "Contact Card - Client Name"

Be able to Archive an entire file.
Be able to Archive an entire file. Goal, only see file when we want to.
Example: When a prospect doesnt pan out, we want to keep the file and it's informaton; however, it would be "hidden" until we wanted to see it.38 votes -
trusted contact
I know others have suggested/requested adding a Trusted Contact field. Let me share how this would make my life easier:
We use LaserApp to complete our forms for TD Ameritrade. I have to then go back and add the Trusted Contact information to each application manually. This takes time and allows room for error.
I know you don't just "snap your fingers" and have it done, but I hope this request is at the top of the wish list. Thank you for all you do to help us manage so much data. Your work is appreciated.33 votes -
no primary address checked off
staff forgets to check off as primary. no mail goes out. no mail merge. whose idea was it to require a primary. whose idea was it to bolden address to tell that it is marked as primary, no one can see that. lost opportunity, missed touches, time consuming.

Allow a child contact to be part of 2 different families
Allow a child contact to be part of 2 different families. This would work for adult children and for children with divorced families.

Ability to add additional address types on the contact card
We would like the ability to add different types of addresses on the contact card. For example, "Physical" (currently Home, Work, Other, Mailing).

CRS
Now that Form CRS is required, a version of BICE would be very helpful. Since it is not account specific, but instead client specific, having a section on the main page of the contact record listing when it was sent and/or signed and next "review" date would be extremely helpful (especially if it were to automatically pull from Lincoln for example).

marital status
Deceased individuals should have no marital status. Can we add a deceased contact choice in Marital status. Unknown is not accurate. Also even when updating the survivor in a marriage its still lists surviving spouse as married even when adding widow. This also needs a fix

Speak - Flag on Client Record?
Can you add an auto populated field to the client record in RT that give a clients speak Y/N speak active flag. This will allow for a quick reporting on who is active with Speak. Speak reporting does not give a quicklist, you have to filter, etc and still not just Y/N active with Speak.

AutoLink Contact by Email
We use the GoToMeeting function in Outlook which easily generates a task in Redtail via Tailwag/Zimbra. It would be great if Redtail could develop functionality to link a contact record based on the email in the appointment scheduled in outlook.

Date of Trust/Amendment Date to Trust Contacts
Date of Trust/Amendment Date to Trust Contacts
We would love to see a Date of Trust and Amendment Date fields in the contact details section for Trust contacts, underneath the TIN field. Similar to how you can enter DOB and DOD information in the same area as SSN for individual clients.

Change Formatting of Website Code for Phone Numbers
Mitel Web Dialer, which is a Chrome Extension, is working the way it is intended on any other website, but in Redtail it is not. The way it works is any phone number on the page will be highlighted orange and with just a click, it will dial it using the Mitel phone assistant application.
In Redtail we figured out what the issue essentially is. I am attaching a screenshot of some of the webpage and the developer mode.
The red highlights the “href” with the “tel:” basically, that is what’s causing the Mitel dialer to not see it as…21 votesRedtail’s Product Owner has read the suggestion and there is some internal discussion needed in order to determine next steps.
