Automations - Add option of Activity Changed for trigger event, currently only activity added.
I would like the option to create a automation so that when an activity is changed it will create a workflow.I have a workflow for Investment Review Meetings that currently is created by Automation if Appointment is selected as Activity Type and Review is selected as Activity Category. If the meeting is not set up with the correct Category, or if it is changed after the fact, the workflow is not created and I have to manually add it.

Client Review Automation
It would be very helpful if we can add an automation to create an activity to schedule a meeting/call 2 weeks before a client review date. It would also be helpful to automatically create a workflow for follow up tasks

When one activity is added it can trigger another activity to be created
Example: I have a Sell Funds activity for my FA and the next day I need to Follow Up with a Sell Funds Activity for my SA. When I create the first activity I would like the second activity to be created at the same time. So, one activity would tell the automation to make a second activity. BTW - I have them on Activity Templates right now. Just waiting on the Automation to catch up!

Automate activities based by client status
For example: I want to reachout to all A clients quarterly, all B clients semi-quarterly, etc. But each time i change a client's status, I don't want to manually update all the activities.

Expand Conditions for Automating Permissions / Roles
Currently, you can automate Permissions when a contact is added for users and teams.
Now that Roles can also be also be assigned during the contact creation process, this should also be an Automation Condition option.
For example, when a new Prospect is entered in the system, if a user forgets to assign the Permissions / Roles, then they can be automatically assigned based on the Servicing/Writing advisor conditions.19 votesThe suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. Workflow created from note
Being able to automate a workflow creation when adding a note would be great. I am trying to create an automation that will not take any additional time to set up, but allow us to make sure nothing "falls through the cracks". It would great to add a note (with a specific category) that would create a work flow. Say we receive new account paperwork from a client. It would be nice to add a note on the client page that says "Received new account paperwork in the mail", and when that note is created, it automatically starts a workflow…

Add "Create Activity from Template" to automation actions
Add "Create Activity from Template" as an action type in Automation Action under "Do this action" tab. Right now you can only do it for workflow templates. It would be great to be able to automate the creation of activities that don't require a whole workflow to manage.

Funnel
A workflow funnel with automated pop-ups that enable execution of workflow without leaving client profile interface. Include button that says “Complete & move to next step”, and will automatically populate any documents that corresponds with that step, such as a welcome letter, or a follow up letter. The workflow tool needs the feature to link each step to the place where it can be executed without leaving the clients profile. If it could bridge the step to the action and then bridge to the next step, then it would prevent a lot of administrative workflows from falling through the cracks.…

The ability to have a trigger event on an activity date. For example I am adding an activity today for something that will happen a year from now. So a year later once its the day of the activity, being able to have a workflow automatically linked would be very helpful.

Envestnet/Tamarac Integration
Consider adding Tamarac as an integration partner. It would allow data from multiple custodians to feed into the system. We currently have 6 other custodians other than Schwab that fee Tamarac that are not represented in Redtail

Add Automation Trigger for Account Status Change
I want to know when someone marks an account closed in Redtail so it triggers a workflow that makes me clear out any account level UDFs and to see if that was a client's last account where it would then trigger them to be a former client.

A Send Templated Email starts a worflow
We use template emails a lot. It would be great if there was an automation that if a templated email is sent from Redtail it would kick off an workflow.

Automation Condition - Activity Attendee
I would like to screen automations by the Attendees on an Activity. For certain activity types, I'd like to receive an email when I am an attendee on the activity. For other activity types, I'd like to receive an email when certain other people are attendees.
This would be made possible by adding Attendee to the list of available conditions on the automation template.
