  1. Option to choose privacy for activities when creating them

    Notes let you choose the privacy options while creating. It would be nice to have that feature when creating activities.

  2. Activities / Workflows repeating on month, quarter, period end

    Need to have workflows and activities that can repeat frequency on month end, quarter end or a designated period end - i.e. this activity is to tie to the last day of each month - since the last day is either the 30th or 31st - not all months have the same ending date, so the way RedTail is set up today this is not able to be created - the fix is to have the activity repeat the 1st of each month, but that is confusing to our people

  3. activity completion date in Timeline

    Is it possible for there to be a feature or setting that allows the date to be published in the timeline of the day the event was scheduled to occur? Currently, if my boss sees a client on 8/1/17, then he won't update his calendar until sometime in September to reflect that the event has taken place. In the client's timeline, the date on the top right will say that the event occurred on the random date in september that he clicked "completed event", not on the actual date he completed it.   4. Linked Documents in Activity from Imaging

    It would be so very useful to be able to link a document to an activity from the record's linked Redtail Imaging folders. If you are referencing completing or creating something for a client you can include the version in the activity, only saving it in one place.

  5. Please add

    Please add "Forever" as one of the date options in the drop-down when searching activities. For the time being we have each manually entered a random date hundreds of years ago to a date hundreds of years in the future, though it was be much simpler to have a "forever" or "all" button.

    Allow activity template categories as an easier way to organize our seemingly endless list of activity templates. Maybe allow them to be categorized by department or team

  7. Click and Drag Activity to a Trash can

    It is cumbersome to have to open an activity then delete, when the calendar can have this feature to facilitate a smoother workflow.

  8. Linked Accounts for Activity customizable information

    When viewing the linked accounts to an activity, you can currently only view the account number and the Company name.

    For an RIA who maintains one custodian relationship, seeing the company name is quite useless.

    It would be helpful to change this in our preferences so we could see the Account Number and Registration or, if not the Registration, then the Account Number and Account Type.

  9. Client tasks/Activities

    We have run into a problem of trying to keep track of what exactly is pending from the client. For example, client says they will provide us with a copy of he/her 401k statement. After following-up a few times, it is left in the client's hands to get that to us without leaving an activity on someone's list. But when we meet with the client again, it is tedious to recall what all was outstanding with the client. Especially if it is several pieces the client has just randomly provided.   12. Open Activities

    I created a new activity type - outstanding issue to mark those things where we have reached out to the client but not heard back from them so the issue is still outstanding. Normally I'd put this in important information but that field is too easy to ignore (until you fix that, right?). My thought was to just add a date on those activities for the end of next year but I realized I can't easily see that.   13. Email's sent regarding an activity need improvement

    When I create or update a task and add my assistant as a user, she receives an email with a very generic note that says an activity has been updated or created.
    It would be very useful if at least the subject of the task could be the subject of the RedTail email, and it would be even better if the advisor assigning the task would be listed in the subject line as well.
    example email subject line:
    "Rep Name" - "Client Name" - Subject of activity

  14. Allow users to set whether a custom activity is either an appointment or task

    We created a new activity category that is basically a special kind of task. Unfortunately, Retriever identifies all custom activities as appointments, so now these tasks are syncing with advisors calendars, where we don't want them. Please allow users to program whether a new activity category is an appointment or a task, to allow us greater calendar customization without flooding outlook calendars with clutter.

  15. add ability to sort / filter activities by a contact's status or contact's category (e.g. segment)

    we have our clients segmented into 4 categories and it would be really helpful to be able to look at activities, especially past due activities by client segment. If we could filter the past due activities by contact category that would allow us to to see what outstanding activities remain by client service tier

  17. tasks

    It would be helpful to add an activity and not have a specific date & time required as an input. This would help with outstanding tasks and not clutter up the calendar. We would like to use RedTail as a task tracker without having to build workflows. We would like to simply assign a task to an employee with no due date and no workflow steps.

  18. Automation

    The option to update/set field for UDF does not currently exist in Redtail. You can set a field with the trigger being "Activity Added", but the options of the field to update is limited to:
    Activity Type
    Activity Category
    Activity Importance
    Activity Priority
    So does not include a UDF field.

    Also, we would want the trigger to be Activity Category marked as completed - not added, so the UDF field would be updated once Activity was completed. Otherwise we would have to remember to delete, if Activity is cancelled. Currently a UDF as Review date field for each year. We…

  19. Linking spousal activities and notes

    There should be a way to link all previous notes and activities to a spouse, even if they are added years later.

  20. Linking a note to a spouse

    When linking an older note to a spouse, the date shows in the spouses activities/notes as the date you added it. It would be wonderful if it could show the original date.

    It would also be wonderful to link all of the notes at once with the original dates.
