Integration with Microsoft Word
In Advisors Assistant, our old CRM, we could click on a word document and it would prefill the document based on parameters we established. We typed a letter or whatever the case may be, and then upon completion, there was a record automatically generated in AA with a time stamp and a copy of the letter that was sent. It could be done for 1 off letters or for a complete mail merge.
It's fantastic in that if we sent a letter to 700 clients, all 700 clients automatically had it post to a letter log file with a copy…

Documents
I have uploaded documents on some but not all of my clients. It would be nice to see an indicator that there are uploaded documents next to the document tab to remind me to look there. Maybe even a number matching the number of uploaded documents. ie: Three uploaded documents, the number 3 in red would show up next to the document tab

Link existing document to an activity or note.
We can currently link a document from our computer to an activity or note and it gets uploaded to Documents on CRM. It would be great if we can link a document ALREADY in the CRM to an activity or note without duplicating it on the CRM.

Document Upload | Allow Document Name Change to Avoid ERROR (special characters)
Please Allow us to Edit the Document Name when Uploading Files...I ask this for several reasons, but especially to Avoid Receiving an ERROR because the file name contains special characters.
Our office uses Macs, so our system allows special characters in names. It is *Extraordinarily Inconvenient to have to Leave RedTail > Go Find the File on our server > Then either Change the name or Duplicate the File to add an alternative name (if we were not the original creators of the file) > Then Go Back to RT and try uploading the document again.

CRM documents to Imaging documents
It would be VERY helpful if there was an easier way to get documents from the CRM documents to Imaging documents instead of having to download and re-upload into Imaging....should be smoother way to move them

Nonrepudiation of Users for uploading documents
Naming conventions are important for our firm, and it would be nice to know which users are uploading certain documents and naming them incorrectly so that we can make corrections and ensure that naming conventions are followed. As it stands everyone is naming things differently (or not at all) despite trainings having been done for this, and there's no way to know who is doing what.

Document Titles
Please allow for characters such as ** and / to be used in uploaded document titles. Makes it much easier to name specific documents without making the name too lengthy.

Move documents in imaging to other folders in bulk
its a PIA if I have 20 documents I need to move to a new folder. Why cant we have an option to move in bulk, just like we can delete in bulk

notification documents
It would be great if we could get notified automatically when documents are added to a case when we are working with multiple individuals. I understand we can add notes and then tell them team with "notify team." that is kind of a pain. Couldn't we set this up in the beginning so all notification go out all the time and not each time we put something in?

Doc viewer within the CRM Doc Storage Page
Every time I need to view a document in the CRM document storage area I have to download to my computer to open it in Adobe. This causes a duplicate document to be placed in my download file. Redtail needs an embedded viewer on the CRM documents storage area to be able to examine within Redtail.

Have the ability to "view" a pdf file instead of downloading it.
I would like to be able to view an uploaded document from Redtail Documents or from a Note instead of having to download it first. When will this feature be available?

Make it easier to categories document uploads
The process of setting the category for an uploaded document is not user friendly. Takes several more steps when you can bring it down to 1 or 2. I would like to see an option, when uploading the document, to select which category it will go into when uploaded. And, if a document is already uploaded and uncategorized, the ability to just have a category drop down like it is set up on notes for each document attachment. linking documents
Please allow us to link a document to multiple activities without creating duplicate documents in that clients contact record. For example, If I have one document and I need to Link it to 3 separate activities for that same client, then it saves it 3 times in the documents tab.

secure document exchange
Redtail needs to establish a secure dropbox where advisors can send documents to clients for signature and they can resend them back to the advisor. This is much safer than emailing attachments.

imaging and hyperlinks pasted to calendar
We'd like to be able to copy the web address for certain folders saved in imaging and paste them to the calendar for our advisors to easily use. The problem is when the advisor selects the link from the calendar they have to login to Redtail Imaging if they're not already. Then then link only takes them to the main page of Redtail Imaging. If they then go back to their calendar and select the link again it will take them to the specific folder that the link intended to take them to from the beginning.
