memberships
When linking contacts, e.g., parent to adult child, the terms "Linked Contact" and "Linked Contact is" are confusing.
1) Why not use "Relationship to this contact"?
2) If I make one contact the parent, shouldn't Redtail automatically make the other contact a "child"?13 votes -
membership
Could the Membership tab be linked under the family section or shown like a web (like the dependents show)? There is a section for dependents, however most of our clients have adult children and do not populate under the family. This would allow us to see all connections to that family in one area. The membership tab is hidden and it would wonderful to have it all under the family.

Help us Track Beneficiaries
Our team is currently tracking benes in Memberships and finding it very cumbersome. We have clients with 14 grandkids. We do not want to create individual records for this many non-clients, then link to the account owner, and define the relationship, this is way too time consuming just to be able to track that beneficiary info.
I think Beneficiaries would make sense in the Know Your Client tab, or a completely new Beneficiary tab on the left hand side in the individual record.
Beneficiaries change all the time, so it would be nice for this new feature to be swift…3 votes -
Add email address to Membership Report
It would be helpful if the membership report would include the email addresses of the members. Since this could be exported and easily used - to send newsletters or e-cards from a different platform.

speak
Hello, there doesn't seem to be a way to remove a team member from a Speak client room. You can only add members. It would be nice to be able to delete/remove people as well.

billing
Have a membership category for householding for billing purposes. For example, we bill some parents and children as one household, while others are separate. It would be helpful to be able to have membership options to see which ones are householded for billing.

Auto-create inferred Memberships
Would love to see a popup window displaying INFERRED memberships based on the contacts existing family/memberships.
i.e. Barbara and Paul are married and have 2 children. Upon creating an Aunt/Nephew membership for Barbara. A pop-up window appears asking if you'd like to create an Uncle/Nephew membership for Paul, and Cousin/Cousin memberships for their 2 kids.
Bonus points if the window has dropdowns to change the membership types (for example from 'Sister' to 'Half-Sister') before confirming.
Please consider this. It would be a massive time-saver!

Search/Report for Memberships that are Unlinked to any Contact
I would like to be able to run a report of any memberships that are not linked to any contacts. We have so many that we just have to manually click on and check right now - I want to be able to remove memberships that are no longer linked to anyone.

membership filter
The headers on Membership are currently sortable, but would be great to have a filter on each with a drop down of the labels in the current data set.

Have the memberships tabs visualize connections in a social graph
It would be great to be able to see a contact's connections in a more visual way so that not only family members but friends, vendors, etc would show and then allow for an easy way to show the connections of those connections. I love social graphs and think it would enhance the understanding of each contact and the degrees of connections between them all.

Automatically create membership relationship based on Referred By field
Rather than having to create a Membership relationship between a contact and the referrer, this should automatically be created based on the Referred By field in the Contact Details. There's no reason to create extra work for users...

MEMBERSHIP
I use Memberships all of the time and it is frustrating that it is hidden in the menu on the contact page. Could it be added as an option in the common tasks short cut?

Add access times for assistants
Currently, I am in the process of hiring a new assistant. It would be nice if I could limit the time of day my outgoing assistant has access to the data base without having to manually enable/disable her access. This would also help for practices with multiple users who have employee turnover. Limiting the time to certain hours of the day, such as 8-5 could help with security concerns.

membership codes
Need to be able to search by membership code.
Currently there is only a report that can be run. From the report, a bulk action cannot be performed.
If we can perform a search, then we can use a bulk action on the results.
My request is:
Ability to perform a search on a membership code.10 votes -
professional contact
It would be great if when you create a Professional Relationship it would also automatically create a Membership between the individuals and/or firms. Ideally it would work the other ways as well - if you create a membership with the type being the same as a Professional Relationship then that would appear under the Professional Relationship tab. This would make it much easier to be able to go to a Professional (i.e., CPA) and see who all their clients are, etc.

I feel that Memberships should be on the Front of the Contact Group page.
Immediately you would see who is related to who etc. without being under the same family name. i just should more noticeable.

Employer Switch to Former Employer
Currently, employer is automatically added to Memberships when added to Basic Info. When the employer is removed from Basic Info, the Membership is also removed.
The Membership should remain, but the relationship should change to Former Employer and Former Employee.
It makes sense to keep a record of this information without manually entering the information after the fact.
