Make Documents Custom Categories editable.
In the CRM Docuemnt Storage there are "System Types" that cannot be added to or altered and there are "Custom Types" that cannot be added to or altered. I would like to see the custom types be open to adding additional types to help with specific office needs.
We have several custom types that would be beneficial to us and we could upload more of our documents to Redtail. One for instance would be "Beneficiary Tracker" where we could upload a document listing a clients accounts and the corresponding beneficiaries for us to quickly reference. Note templates on the app
Right now, on the Redtail app we can only add a note by note category. It would be very helpful to also include note templates as an option on the app as well.

It would be helpful to be able to run a report for both held away accounts and AUM accounts
Defining the accounts that are listed as AUM under the Account types on the landing page of CRM would be very helpful for support that accounts are identified in CRM correctly.

notes: notify user/team automatically
in preferences I would like the option to receive notification every time a note is entered.
Said differently I want to option set a default notify user or team so that people don't have to remember to select notify user everytime.4 votes -
Trust Acct needs SSN and TID Option
Please allow us the option of choosing either SSN or TID when creating a new TRUST contact

It would be helpful if all the notes were together in the same place. Not some in the activities page and then some under the notes heading.

Prospect Email Blast List - Add "Assigned To" Field to Quick Lists
Please add an "Assigned To" field to Quick Lists so that each individual Advisor can send Email Blasts to their Prospects (Status = Prospect), rather than to the entire firm's prospects. Currently, there is an "Assigned To" field in Opportunities, but no way to carry this field to Quick Lists. Thanks!

Timeline Update Search
Given folks are working on a team through RedTail, it would be helpful that the TimeLine Update tab on the "Today" page have a search feature per user.
This piggy backs on my other idea (will find or submit a new feedback report) that the links in the timeline should go to the actual activity, note, etc, instead of showing code which I do not find useful as an end user.

Have the ability for a box to pop up with a reminder to enter data
For example, if the prospect was not a good fit, and the advisor referred them to another firm, when the cursor moves to finish entering the details in the opportunity section, have a box pop up that says, "did you refer this prospect to another firm? if so, enter their name here. " then you can have the udf field where the advisor can enter the name. You can have a reminder pop up anywhere including contacts. Like how an upsell works. Thank you.

Please consider making "Discretionary" a field for custom export.
We are required to disclose this on our annual ADV report. The information is stored. It would be nice if we could access it. Thank you.

Categorize activity to-do list
Be able to categorize the activities on the main "Things to do today" page. By being able to keep certain categories of tasks together on the activities page, will make it easier to find tasks when looking through 20+ tasks. Can do this by creating folders or subcategories within the activities.

Lead list scrubbing
When uploading a lead list, having the option to submit and "scrub" the list against the National Do Not Call List, and then have the list sent back with only the callable individuals.
Salesforce was my previous CRM and they had this option. Would be great if Redtail would implement something similar.

Document Titles
Please allow for characters such as ** and / to be used in uploaded document titles. Makes it much easier to name specific documents without making the name too lengthy.

on the personal profile could you put the font at 11 vs. 8 font. 8 font is very small
We use the personal profile for client folders to keep as a papercopy, but the font is 8. Can you increase the font to 11 instead of us having to increase the font ourselves. 8 is too small of font to read as you get older! :)

pop up box stays up
In the past this did not happen, so something changed. Normally when hovering over a task a box pops up with more detail about the task. This is helpful, but what is not helpful is when it stays up even when moving off the task. The box just blocks seeing anything. The only way to clear it is to refresh the page. In the past it logically went away when moving away from the task.

Advanced Search letter choice
Within Advanced Search, it'd be super helpful to have an option of typing in a letter the search would jump to within your list, rather than needing to scroll through names to get back to where you were. Some lists are hundreds if not thousands of clients long and to have to scroll to get to U, V, etc. is daunting.

udf automation improvements
I would love to have the ability to automatically import all udf's I created when adding a new contact. Currently, I have to add them one at time for each new contact. Having this ability would also enhance the integration with Precise FP, since a majority of the fields I am importing/exporting come directly from the UDF's. Thank you.
