The table feature inside activities and workflows is ineffective and does not work
The table feature in both activities and workflows is clunky and does not work - there is no way to adjust column size (they appear to adjust based on what you type in the column and then when you type in the column on the other side they adjust again?).There is no way to have borders or any sort of formatting to the table.
Can you just make the table feature work like it does in Word/Excel to make it actually useful?6 votes -
sidebar for workflows
Please add a sidebar for Workflows that would open when in a Task. Allow users to move from Workflow sidebar to Task w/o interruption or saving first.

Add Capability to Add Documents to Activity Templates
Add the option to add a document to a template. We have an activity template named "Create Agenda". It would be helpful to be able to attach the our agenda template word document to the Redtail activity template.

Duplicate Contact Name Report - Process Time
As a Redtail CRM User , I want the Duplicate Contact Name Report to process combine functionality quickly within 5-10 seconds. If a user refreshes the list, the combine function needs to show quickly on the report.
Currently state: Select the two records to combine, select the primary, select ok. Next wait 30 sec to 1 min for the process to work on the backend. If you refresh early then the combine functionality does not work and you have to do the process again. As a user with almost 8000 duplicates, this will take me around 150-200 hours to complete.

Duplicate Contact Report - Freeze Header
As a Redtail CRM User, I want the Report header including the column headers and combine, filter, export, pdf, and search functions to stay at the top of the page regardless of page scrolling. This is to allow the user to scroll through the list and combine contacts as needed without having to scroll to the top of the page to select combine. The result will be a better user experience and time saved from scrolling.

Duplicate Contact Report - Suffix Identification
As a Redtail CRM User, I want the Duplicate Contact Name Report to acknowledge suffix differences, so that the contact can be identified as an individual record rather than a duplicate.
Goal: The problem is a bloated Duplicate Contact Report List that is inaccurate because it can not differentiate contacts.
Benefit: This will provide clearer communication to customers and prevent communicate to the wrong individual.
Acceptance criteria: When the first and last name are the same but the suffix is different, which clears the names from the duplicate contact report.1 vote -

Zapier Integration to add a note and to complete activites
Zapier's integrations are super helpful - although being able to add a note would be amazing as well as complete an activity.

Calendar that Clients can schedule on
We need the ability to send our calendar to our clients so that they can schedule a time right onto our calendar to meet. This way what we already have marked off will show up and there will be no confusing on if they can schedule at a specific time. Like calendarly but then this way we will not need to integrate anything.

Talk to Text
Add a 'talk to text' button when adding notes to a client account or calendar event. This will cut down on time after a client review/meeting as it allows you to speak the notes instead of typing them.

I would love hidden workflow templates
Hidden templates
For workflow queens like myself I would love the option to hide my templates that I have very personalized to my daily tasks. With the numerous workflows I want to personalize I and my entire office would prefer these to not be visible to the entire office because then they have to weed through my workflows and vice versa. Hidden Workflow Templates.
I don't mind sharing my templates but I am a workflow queen so I am looking to create many personalized templates for my tasks to stay on top of my work load. However, I don't want other people to have to weed through my personalized templates to find their templates and vice versa. So private templates would be a fabulous addition. Make Opportunities more efficient
I have several opportunities, and I really like using the list to keep track of the things we are currently working on. Many of the contacts are a mix of prospective and existing clients on which I have already made several notes. I would like the most recent notes for each contact to be automatically linked in the notes section to avoid redundancy in making a note under the contact and another note on the contact opportunity. I understand that the last note could be copied; however, that isn't efficient when I have multiple opportunities to manage.

Redtail Speak
Redtail Speak - I love the concept of Redtail Speak but the inability to utilize it as a phone number to call or receive calls from clients makes me hesitant. I understand the need for compliant texting however giving my advisors multiple phone numbers for only one use will be confusing for them and clients. I'd love for Redtail Speak to someday have a functionality to make/receive phone calls then it will be 100%!

Vulnerable Adults with Diminished Capacity
There should be an option that would very clearly label a client that is a vulnerable adult or is someone with diminished capacity. It would be very useful if it were like the "This person is deceased" banner that pops up on contacts of clients who have passed. This banner could be bright yellow or something very obvious.

Seminar Tracking
Our firm would like to be able to track seminars more closely within Redtail. Specifically, we would like to be able to document the cost for the seminar, and the revenue generated from the leads that attended that seminar.
This is a feature available in Salesforce, and I know that firms that use Salesforce use this feature. I would love to be able to do it on Redtail, as opposed to tracking it outside in Excel.

Include a chart or way to track changes on the Dashboard. Even if it were to click into AUM, Contacts, Categories.. Include a way to TRACK THE CHANGES in all these metrics.

Workflow Automation
When an activity is created by another app (OnceHub), we manually change the activity to a more specific, custom activity type (Inquiry call) which is linked to an automated workflow (Inquiry call workflow), but RedTail doesn't recognize that as a newly created activity, so it doesn't launch the automation and start the workflow. Please update the automation to treat activity type change as a newly created activity so it can trigger the automation because the automations are useless without it
