**Please don't classify activities as past due until after the end date**
If I create an activity that needs to be finished by the end of the month, it shows up as past due every day and I have to manually roll it over each day.
Use the end date entered when creating the activity to determine when an activity is "past due"
Or add the ability to set things up this way when creating an activity.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Redtail, how can we get this prioritized?

Agree. This is a big drawback and makes us spend a LOT of time managing redtail rather than managing our business. We put start and end dates in for a reason - they need to stay open for a while! End date is useless in its current iteration

Couldn't agree more with everyone's comments. An activity should not be past due if the due date is set for the end of the month or a later date. Just because the start date has passed, doesn't make it a past due item. If the due date isn't even being used, why is it even there

AGREE!! I have to move my start date every day so that I don't have PAST DUE Activities. I've made the suggestion myself to fix this.

This is a HUGE oversight on development! It makes no sense that something should be classified as "Past Due" based upon the start date. This means that the PAST DUE screen would actually be the work-from screen. I can't believe that this still hasn't been addressed at all. Stop waiting for the vote count to increase (there are almost SIX HUNDRED suggestions relating to Activities....chances are no one will find this suggestion in order to vote for it!

This is a huge obstacle for me in using Redtail. As a result, we are shopping for another CRM. The start date should never have to be changed in order to see your task on your dashboard. The dashboard should reflect the tasks/activities by DUE DATE. In addition, many tasks are in a "pending" status because we are waiting for a client to return documents for example. It would be very helpful to have a category/status "Pending reply", or "Pending Other Action" so we can quickly see which items we are to act on, and which ones we can't yet act on. The sorting feature by start date is a major flaw in this system.

Activities do not show in the "today" section once they pass the start date, even when the completion date isn't for another month. They are showing in the "past due", the start date should not dictate if the activity is past due or not.

When the current date is past the start date, but not the end date, activities should not be considered "past due." It is due on the end date, that is why there is an end date. It makes no sense why that activity is considered past due because it isn't supposed to be ended yet.

There is a start date and end date for a task. Sometimes a task take 3 months but you want it on your overview page. There needs to be an option for the overview to show the outstanding tasks based on the end date rather than the start date.

When you set up activity with start date and end date it shows up as overdue after start date. It should not be overdue until end date should stay in current

On the Overview- the end date should be used to determine past due not the start date. Having an activity show up as past due feels/looks bad - especially when it is NOT past due. Not sure how to fix it bcz need to see open tasks while in progress but "past due" just looks bad. Maybe have them run in current day until past end date. Then toss them into "past due" section. Yes I like that! Because ongoing tasks need to be seen current day.
