Add these mail merge fields: Work address, work extension, work email.

At the beginning of each year we send out a contact update sheet to our clients to update their information on file. Oftentimes we need a work address to open up a new account, so it would be good to be able to mail merge this information into the contact update sheet we created for the client to verify. Sometimes clients also like us to have their work email or work phone extension on file.

Please allow us to use our UDF information in the Mail Merge fields. This would greatly enhance our Mail Merge capabilities!

This is not just a want, it is a need at our firm. The amount of time wasted because we don't have these features is incredible. Please consider adding as soon as possible.

Agree with these suggestions. Would also like to see support for Word's conditional (if...then...else) fields in mail merge. These work with an Excel import to mail merge, but not with Redtail's integrated mail merge. Thank you for considering!

Mail merge is one of the most useful functions in RedTail. However, it doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves by the developers. Here are my suggestions:
1) Enable use of .docx files
2) Enable use of fillable form fields, such as check boxes, dropdowns, etc.
3) Expand mail merge fields to include spouse age, children's names and ages, next activity date/time, etc. Really as many fields as possible! This would allow us to create our own personal profile form, since RedTail took a huge step back with the current format of the form in Tailwag.

having us just use the ones on document is not enough you need to add alot more merge fields. spouse first and last names together just like using "name" for the contacts field.
Date just using month and day but not year so you can send a Birthday letter just having Month and Day. you need alot more than what you have listed

Please add Mobile Phone to the Mail Merge Fields available. We have more mobile numbers in our database than home numbers.

If the choice is Mailing or Primary to Mail to people this Doesnt help... One is Mailing and one is Home, but I can't get mail to people who ONLY have PO boxes because I have the home address as Primary, (because that is where they live)... but the Primary Mailing address is the PO Box.... and it cant be both. OMG

Why are you limiting the merge fields in the CRM? People requested this almost five years ago and it still has not changed? (http://feedback.redtailtechnology.com/forums/46147-redtail-crm/suggestions/2406531-additional-mail-merge-fields) We need basic fields like Tax Id (Spouse Tax ID), Primary Phone Number (Spouse Primary Phone Number), Spouse Date of Birth, Etc... This is a basic function of the CRM, why do you have limits at all? People should be able to map any field in the database. You developers need to get on the ball, it would be a very simple fix. Someone on your support team said the "locked" out certain fields.. why do that? We just switched to RedTail, it is a great system, except in this area which seems like should be common, basic feature. It makes me want to switch to a different CRM. Please do not post a response about using a "Custom Export", that is just extra work for your customers that is completely unnecessary. If you developers are un-willing to make the changes, please hire new developers that actually care about the customers being able to use the product in basic ways...

Agreed. So embarrassing to have to tell new people that our CRM is not compatible with a document format that is well over 10 years old and that we have to downgrade our format to work with Redtail. This really should have been resolved years ago. Makes Redtail seem outdated.
