Review Frequency should be More Flexible
I suggest that for the review frequency you make so that you DON'T have to fill out every little piece to it. i.e. If the client likes to meet once a year typically in March, you can select just that verus taking the next step and selecting Friday and then the 3rd week of..

The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

Agreed, shouldn't need to be that detailed.

This needs a lot of work. We review accounts based on when they need reallocated which doesn't fall nicely into an every 6 months or every year category. I need to be able to select every July and April if applicable.

Totally agree! I am a former Salesforce user, and we created a Custom Field for "Review Month" and it was a picklist with all the months.
Even better would be to tie this to a Client Review workflow, that would create a task for my admin to call the client to schedule a review appointment

An exact date is worthless. We need to know the month(s) a client would like to be seen. Your system has overcomplicated this process to the point that if you don't run a list after a review date has passed for a client and it's one of their recurring dates - they arent caught in the list because your list runs off of the top box. Therefore all reviews have to be ran before the date. Plus Advisors mess up the review boxes all of the time. Just make it months that you check mark - so much easier.

Is Redtail looking at this? I agree, setting the client review date is very clunky. After selecting 'repeats yearly' and every '1' year for the client, I then have to select the month, and then check mark the box for "Repeats Yearly On' (if this is required then why do I even need to check this?? and then select the first/second/etc. and day of the week. So much work! I like have the option to select the third Wednesday, but why can't it also just be every year on Feb. 27th?

Agree with this Suggestion. Right now, there is no way to create a list of all "Meeting Dates" other than use a "filter" in Reports. Client Meetings, the outline of what was discussed, and tasks to be completed before the next meeting are important. Ideally, make them a separate, editable Window dedicated to just Client Meetings that includes the Calendar and "Meeting Notes at a glance" (allowing for a short narrative of what was discussed, tasks to be completed, and notes once those tasks have been completed) Currently, the TImeline is just a run-on hodgepodge of everything and because you are limited on seeing # of notes per page, if a Meeting was 1yr ago, trying to track down Notes associated with those meetings is tedius and could cause information to be missed.

When I select for a review or an activity to repeat yearly, I currently have to in several “ordinals” to classify month and day in addition to the start date that I have already put in or select a “monthly” and set it up for an every 12 month repeat and again put in additional “ordinals”. The mere fact that I am selecting a “yearly” repeat should be enough. If I have a start date of 11/10/2016 and request an “Yearly”, I should not need to put in any “ordinals” The system should be able to calculate that yearly means every year on 11/10 so the next review or activity date would then be 11/10/2017. The current set up is cumbersome, confusing, and extremely time consuming for uses. Please correct this!

Put the pop up calendar back in Client Review dates. There were only 2 clicks to set a date, now there are 7. Don't always know "3rd Thursday" or "2nd Wednesday". Please put it back to the way it was i.e. yearly, 2x year, 3 months etc. and then just the calendar. It was so easy to edit also if things change. Now too many choices and determining days, etc.

Here is an Idea - Please vote.
We should have review Date for different Client Categories (A,B,C) Defaulted to the following? But also be able to customize for clients preferences?
A – Review Times 4 times a year – quarterly
B - Semi Monthly Review
C – Annual Review
And have household members review dates be triggered by head of household. Most households only like to meet at the same time and review at the same time. But rather than having to establish different review dates, is there a way to say, review date applies to household? -

I’d like to be able to have something like a “Last Review Date” and a “Next Review Date” which are independent of each other. For example, if I met with a client in January 2014, but my next meeting with him was March 2015, and I just made an appointment to meet with him again in June of 2016, I’d like to be able to have all those dates recorded exactly that way. From my attempts to do this, it seems like all I can enter is the “First Review”, and then set a regular interval for subsequent meetings. That doesn’t do what I need it to do. The best I seem to be able to do is always change the “First Review” field to the date of the last time I met with the client, but, obviously, that’s misleading. Is there a way that I can use Redtail’s “Review” fields to make it work the way I’ve described?

Right now, when you set a recurring client review, there is no way to pick a time of day. We do client reviews on 'the first Monday every 6 months at 2:00 PM' for example. Right now, the only way to set this up is to use a recurring activity, but it would be nice to do this through the actual Client Review tool.

It used to be that all you had to do is elect a date for first review and then elect a frequency for review based on that date. Now, entering in the first date is basically useless for future review purposes, because you have to select a frequency, and then a month (which doesn't make any sense if it's based on the first date), and then a day of the week, etc. Way too many steps to fulfill this simple feature.

I ran into the same problem. Our clients will frequently move back their meeting a month or even move it ahead. It would be nice to be able to change the review dates but still keep record of all dates.

Yes, this has become so much more cumbersome than the old version.

having the next review date automatically entered is not a good idea - we do not meet with clients on the same date each quarter or annually. And it should not be going on our calendars either. Thanks

And you should be able to run that report for previous months. I have found that once the month ends I can't run a report to make sure we didn't miss any reviews.

"Next Review" should be (what month), NOT a specific date. Also, need the ability to run a report "who is due for a review in March"?
