Custom Trigger Events
To expand on a few of the other suggestions, it would be helpful to have more Trigger Event options in the Automation function. The ability to customize the Trigger Events would be really helpful as well.
The suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. This suggestion is remaining open and can continue to gather votes and comments!

This would be a huge add, as RIAs continue to grow having more automated options within Triggering Events will be helpful in everyones compliance and client servicing process. Would love to be able to have a workflow start as soon as a date of death is entered on a contact.

The Trigger Events need to be expanded by 10 fold.
There are daily items that this would be useful form.
Notes, Tags, UDF's, Closed Accounts, Etc. -

It would be helpful to receive an alert/trigger for a contact that had NO activity during a previous pre-set period of time. For example, if there is NO ACTIVITY for a contact during the previous 12 months, user will be alerted. This will assist with compliance requirement to have some form of contact with client at least once per year.

We would like to see an option to trigger an activity to remind clients of their upcoming appointments, say 1 or 2 days before the appointment.

I would like to see when an ACTIVITY IS CLOSED with a specific type or category. Ex: Advisor just finished the review, typed their notes in the description and closed task, it create a new task assigned to a specific person to push out to next time they need to schedule review.
With the older version of Redtail, when a task is closed by a 3rd party, the CREATOR of the task gets a notification. -

I'd like Category change to be a trigger event. We send cards to our high value clients. If a client transitions from "service only" to fully engaged I'd like to get a reminder to update things with our card vendor or have RT create an activity for me.

Expand Trigger Event options. Either let us add which ones we want like Membership, Keywords and UDFs or make almost everything an option. I would love if when a client passes, if the date gets populated, a workflow would be able to be automated. A status changes...etc.

My personal request is to have a date trigger, so that I can automate periodic workflow activities such as compliance requirements. I think a custom trigger event ability is a better option since so many advisors have so many different needs.

I would like to see the client review date as a trigger as well as the ability to create custom triggers.

I would like to see more additional triggers as well. For instance when a client reaches the age of 70.5 and subject to RMD or even when the client reaches Social Security age or Medicare age I would like for certain things to be triggered.

I would like to see a trigger event based on the servicing advisor and the writing advisor listed in the contact record. We have multiple servicing advisor's and writing advisor's in our office and currently we are assigning all workflows to one servicing advisor who then has to go in and edit who the workflow is assigned to if they are not the servicing advisor. If I could create an automation using the servicing advisor or writing advisor, I would be very happy!

Please allow users to create custom triggers for their workflows. Our business practices are unique and the current limited trigger list is not sufficient. This feature was promised in the Tailwag overview video but isn't actually available.
