Example of an incident that occurred...I knew when I left yesterday that I had no outstanding activities. This morning I didn't check my past due. An advisor had tagged me in an activity yesterday that I was unaware of.30 votes -
Please add "Non-Qualified" and "Non-Qualified Joint" to the drop down menu, for when tax qual. box is NOT checked.
The drop down menu is active even when the "tax qualified" box is not checked. It therefore should include options for "Non-Qualified" and "Non-Qualified Joint." We should not have the sole options of using "other," or simply leaving this field blank.

Only one user editing a Task at a time
Will you please make it so only one person can be in an activity at a time. My colleagues and I have experienced having lost important information or date changes to a task because 2 people or more were in the same task.

activity in use alert
If 2 people are editing an activity at the same time it messes up what information is saved. There should be an alert like there is in word/excel such as "activity is locked for editing by user1, would you like to open a read only copy?"

Activity Edits/Formatting
I accidently saw an expanded version of activity formatting options when there was a glitch and now we want the options!
It would be great to have options to add pictures, different bullet points, printing options before saving the activity, highlighting, and colored font options -- all similar things that you can find in word.28 votes -
filter activity by category
Please add a function to Filter Activities by Category on the activities dashboard. Currently, we can only filter from Calendar view.

be able to choose multiple categories on an activity
Would like to be able to assign/choose multiple categories for an activity or note. Sometimes more than one category applies.

auto save
Please autosave anytime the window is closed for any reason, even if going to another task or to client record or.... Please autosave after each line is completed. Please autosave all the time. It is so frustrating to loose work and have to do it over and over, when you are in a busy environment and constantly being pulled to do other things only to find what you just entered into Redtail is gone.

noting tasks

Recurring Activities Options
When it comes to recurring activity options, it would be very helpful to have the added option of "Business Day" so that you could choose the 1st Business Day each month or the Last Business Day of each month, for example.

Things to Do Today
The items in this section should remain on "today" until either completed or the deadline that we create has passed. For instance if I create an item yesterday to be completed by tomorrow, it's still a "thing to do today" and not yet "past due" or "upcoming". If this can't be changed, this section should be changed to "Activities CREATED Today" to be aptly titled for what it is doing. If changed, this would be a very useful working task list. Junxure Time Stamp
Within an Open Activity, there will be a sequence of notes, most recent on top, of what is being done with that particular activity. Junxure offered CTRL J which equaled (sample) "10/9/19 BMW 1:00 PM", it was great. I have offered this suggestion in Request #626395 8/21/17 and #695898 1/3/18.

Activity Template - Add checkboxes, fillable PDF style
I like the idea of an activity template but I have some processes done now on forms that have nice spots to check off things and in activities I cannot do that. I would love a checkbox bulleted list option like in OneNote. I also would love to be able to make some default activity template text not editable and make it obvious where a person needs to fill out their info. I don't want them deleting 'Account Type - ' to put in (on a new account template) IRA. I also wouldn't mind making some boxes or fields required…

Allow activities to automatically roll forward every day
We just transitioned from ACT. In ACT all activities that were not completed during the day automatically rolled forward to the following day. There was no need to check for incomplete activities in ACT. It would be very helpful to incorporate this feature into RedTail.

Add Ongoing Activities Tab
Add an Ongoing activities tab for activities that have started but haven't ended yet. Currently, if an activity spans multiple days, it ends up in your "Past Due" Activities.
An Ongoing activities tab would allow for easier activity organization and efficiency.
