  1. filter notes by user in contact

    While in a contact's record, I'd like to have the ability to filter notes by user. We have a team that services each contact, so multiple people enter notes. I'd like an easier way to find notes I made for a particular client that doesn't require me to run a report.

  2. Fix Contact Photo

    Allow us to upload an image that is not square, we previously would upload all client Driver's Licenses, and crop the photo! It was great, we had a Client photo for everyone and quick access to all their DL info. It now cuts off the edges since no State has a square DL. Please fix this, this is a deal breaker for me.

  3. Notes to head of household automatically copy to spouse's contact

    It would be nice to have notes automatically post to the head of household's spouse with having to "copy to another contact".

  4. insurance license

    Under Licensing, it would be nice to have a section to record agent's state insurance licenses, including state, number, effective date and expiration date, with the ability to set alerts (30 or 60-day) for upcoming renewals.

  5. show power of attorney on contact details

    If client has a Power of Attorney, there should be a field readily visible on the main client record screen. A customizable field could work for this too. There should also be a way to link that POA's Redtail contact (not thru family set-up) to the client's contact record.

  6. Address Updates

    When updating a physical address, it should reflect on both of the spouses contact records. It only updates both spouses if it is a "Home Address" update. It should update both spouses if it involves the home address, mailing address, and the home phone #.

  7. Moving Driver's License under Contact Details

    Make it so that the Drivers License Information is stored under Contact Details with their Social Security Number. During Tax Season this would be a big help so we can at a glance see if we need to update their information

  8. Financial Planning Tab in Clients

    I would love to see the addition of a Financial Planning tab under the contact record. It would be a summary page of where a client is. It may have things like whether they have a will or not, when that will was done, when we last asked about the will to make sure it is reflects current wishes. It would have places for outside accounts or insurance policies (for a placeholder for accounts we don't have downloading in and won't mess up our AUM numbers).   9. User Rights - Edit Contact Records

    There needs to be several more user rights options. Add the ability for the database administrator to allow or disallow a user from editing a contact record. If you want to centralize the process in your office for who gets to edit records this is the way. There is currently a user right option to delete a record. Someone could still go into the record a compromise the data within the profile. Its the same as deleting it. We need this ability to turn on and off for specific database users.

  10. add a household portfolio balance option

    When a client is married you should have the option to see the household portfolio balance not just the individual portfolio balance on the main screen.

  11. Contact Details - custom field

    It would be great if there were one or two fields within the Contact Details section that could be customized. We'd like to assign a client service associate to each client, and while we can add this to the UDF section, it would be so much easier to locate if it was right there under or above "Servicing Advisor" in the Contact Details.

  12. Make the sub-Contact lists "movable"...especially Memberships

    I am constantly going into Memberships and would like to be able to get to it a little quicker than having to go to "more" and then drop down the list. The ability to rearrange those Contact choices would be great.

  13. Please give us a way to modify the order of options on the left menu bar.

    Please give us a way to modify the order of options on the left menu bar. Specifically, the contact submenu that appears when on a contact's profile page. For example, we should be able to put 'Memberships' at the top directly under the Company-contact's name on the left menu bar. That way we can see all the individuals associated with that company quickly.

  14. Client Record/Personal Info Automation

    It would be helpful if Redtail had the capability to send out a link via email to a new contact for them to type in their basic info and have it automatically integrated/inputted to update that client's Redtail contact record or create a new one. It would automate the process of obtaining info such as full name, DOB, SSN, address, gender, phone number, email, marital status, employer, financial info (net worth, bank info), beneficiaries, etc.

  15. RMD Information/Log

    Please create a RMD information tab in the left side panel similar to the UDF, Notes and activates fields. We need a section where we can track all RMDs per year and if they were satisfied. RMD accounts can be satisfied in one account of across multi accounts so we need the ability to customize data and take notes and track if the RMD is completed for the year.   16. multiple contact status and categories

    It would be great if we could select multiple status and categories for contact records. For instance, we have business relationship - Active for a Contact Status. I would like to be able to select more than one Category, for instance COI and Vendor.

  17. UDF's in Advanced Search

    Please allow User Defined Fields (UDF's) to be used in Advanced Search.
    We need this for basic compliance review of client agreements (we have multiple service agreements, so one "client since" field does not work). Plus tracking of client meeting UDF's.

  18. Automatic Spouse Contact Record Should Inherit Permissions

    An automation exists to permission new contact records to the associated advisor, so other advisors cannot see that advisor's contacts. This is a compliance requirement and Redtail has this functionality. However, When a spouse record is created automatically from a contact, it does not get the permissions that are assigned to the associated Contact - even though is has the same information as the contact that the automation uses to assign permissons.

  19. Life/domestic partner option in Family (in lieu of Spouse)

    Add the option for life partner or domestic partner when creating a family in place of Spouse. The Other option doesn't show up in the Family on the "other" person's contact record. Utilizing memberships takes extra steps and you have to search for it by clicking More, then Memberships. Any time saved is beneficial.
