  1. Activities - Updated Notification

    Some of our employees have expressed frustration with the inability to determine what was updated in an activity when they receive the updated activity notification. They suggested is there any way to add a highlight or some type of identifier that shows what was updated on the activity in the notification e-mail. That way it can be determined whether or not action is required without having to make additional clicks.

  2. allow for a follow up to be created when you complete an activity.

    allow for a follow up to be created when you complete an activity, something similar to the new notes follow up where you check the box and it carries the information forward with the new follow up activity. sometimes we complete an activity but it creates another follow up and a new activity but we have to go back and totally recreate it.

  3. Documents linked to notes that have a linked follo up activity should show on the activity as well.

    Right now we have the option to upload documents to either a note OR it's related activity. Documents linked to notes that have a linked follow up activity should show on the activity as well.

  4. Scheduling meetings

    Force a choice of attendee rather than default user as attendee. Don't allow appt. to be made until choice is made. It will force you to make sure that the attendee is correct and not user.

  5. Adding a strikethrough option similar to how you can bold and underline text

    I think it would be helpful to add a strikethrough text option just like how there is a bold text and underline text option. This would allow you to strikethrough the next when you have completed a step in the description box of an activity.

  7. Allow archiving of Activity Types and Activity Categories

    This would enable us to keep records where the Activity Type and/or Activity Category were appropriate, but to remove them from the drop down list so they don't get used going forward if they're not appropriate any longer.

  8. activities assigned to others report to include column for when activity completed

    When running the report of activities assigned to others would like to see when the activity was completed. This way I can run a report to see when activities were completed over a specific timeframe. It would also be great if it listed the person who completed the task.

  9. Automation

    The option to update/set field for UDF does not currently exist in Redtail. You can set a field with the trigger being "Activity Added", but the options of the field to update is limited to:
    Activity Type
    Activity Category
    Activity Importance
    Activity Priority
    So does not include a UDF field.

    Also, we would want the trigger to be Activity Category marked as completed - not added, so the UDF field would be updated once Activity was completed. Otherwise we would have to remember to delete, if Activity is cancelled. Currently a UDF as Review date field for each year. We…

  11. Add "importance" symbols to editing view of activities

    This would be a good visual for when you are actually in an activity and editing it, rather than viewing it in a list.

  12. Is there a way to send a real-time notification to a person who opens an activity that you are editing at the same time?

    It seems that more than one person can be in an activity at the same time. It also seems that if one person is editing a particular activity and another person opens the same activity to edit, then their edits do not get saved. Is there a way to send a real-time notification that someone else is currently editing that activity at that time?

  13. tasks

    It would be helpful to add an activity and not have a specific date & time required as an input. This would help with outstanding tasks and not clutter up the calendar. We would like to use RedTail as a task tracker without having to build workflows. We would like to simply assign a task to an employee with no due date and no workflow steps.

  15. We need to be able to view completed Activity notes

    Someone decided to make notes shorter and now we cannot see the notes added to Activities.....terrible when trying to scan through notes to find an issued

  16. Link Activity to Another Activity

    We would like to ability to link activities together so if we are working on several items that need to move forward together, we could move the date forward on the "Activity Group" because we will need to work on all of the Activities in the Group on a single day. But we want to manage the separate activities individually as well once we unlink them.

  17. attendees, teams and privacy options

    Currently if you are an attendee of an activity and you choose a team in the privacy settings that the attendee is not a member of, the attendee cannot see the activity. An attendee should automatically be able to see and edit regardless of the privacy selections. I believe this is more of a bug than a suggested improvement.

  18. Add the ability for a staff member to accept a task assigned to them

    I would like the ability to have a team member click 'accept' when a task is assigned to them and then a notification is sent out letting me know. This way I would know that the team member has at least seen the task assigned

  20. Mark Activity Incomplete or Canceled

    Some activities never get completed, because we don't hear back from a client/prospect or the client/prospect changes their mind. Right now the only option is to make a note in the description and mark it as complete or delete the activity outright.

    I would like to mark an activity either Incomplete or canceled to close out the activity, because it is never going to be complete. This would allow me to keep track of essentially wasted work and unresponsive clients. Also, it doesn't make sense to show an activity as completed when it wasn't. Thanks!
