  1. Allow users to set whether a custom activity is either an appointment or task

    We created a new activity category that is basically a special kind of task. Unfortunately, Retriever identifies all custom activities as appointments, so now these tasks are syncing with advisors calendars, where we don't want them. Please allow users to program whether a new activity category is an appointment or a task, to allow us greater calendar customization without flooding outlook calendars with clutter.

    It would great if Redtail and a feature like a Kanban board. We are currently using Trello

  3. dont delete activity when multiple users are in same activity

    I am baffled that I was told this is not a glitch. But, when two users are updating one task simultaneously, one of them will simply be ignored, and none of their new data will be captured in the task. they will have no idea the task was not updated unless they quality control every item and spend an hour each day making sure redtail did capture what redtail was supposed to capture. see ticket 992803 for background if you want

  4. Group Activities Together/"Umbrella" Activities

    I would like to group activities together. Meaning, if the "umbrella" activity is to evaluate insurance coverage, I would like to have sub-activities for the individual insurance policies to evaluate. We have a client who is considering long-term care coverage and there are several insurance policies that could be combined to do so, but there are action items associated with each. If I would put those individual activities under an "umbrella" activity it would allow our team to be better organized.   5. Add draft notes to activities

    I just typed a long description into an activity and lost it all. After several email exchanges I finally called in and was told to add a linked note to the activity so that drafts would automatically be saved as I type. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. The only way to have saved drafts if a note is added to a contact. We type all our meeting notes within an activity. Please add this capability to linked notes in an activity.

  6. Notes are NOT saved when an activity is accessed by multiple users!!!

    We have multiple users and if by change two users access the same activity, only the notes, edits/changes are saved by the person that hits save first. If the both user can not enter while another user is accessing the activity then an alter MUST pop-up to signify this is a "READ ONLY" because IMPORTANT records are being lost and have been for years because we have been given the run around about the cause of this being anything but the simply truth!!!

  7. Add a button

    You should add a button so when we schedule something (other than a meeting) and it's not done on the date it was assigned, it can automatically roll forward. We waste way too much time moving past items not yet completed forward into the current day. It would be far easier and less stressful to have an option to have these items move automatically to the next day. This is done in most other CRM like Act and others.

  8. Email reminders for when activities are due

    When activities that were scheduled in advance come due, the creator of the activity should be able to get a reminder email sent to their inbox to notify them. Similar to a calendar reminder on your calendar for an appointment, activities should provide an outside reminder to an email.

  9. filter dates in activities should allow +- 30 or 60 days

    in filter dates, allow for both "past due" and next x number of days....

  10. Email's sent regarding an activity need improvement

    When I create or update a task and add my assistant as a user, she receives an email with a very generic note that says an activity has been updated or created.
    It would be very useful if at least the subject of the task could be the subject of the RedTail email, and it would be even better if the advisor assigning the task would be listed in the subject line as well.
    example email subject line:
    "Rep Name" - "Client Name" - Subject of activity

  11. provide ability to toggle importance and priority settings on the task screen

    I find it very helpful to be able to sort on importance and priority on the list of tasks screen using one click. This really helps me prioritizing my tasks. However, to change the importance and priority for each task, right now, we have to do into each task detail to do this. I suggest that you add the ability to do this from the list of tasks screen to allow us to change the setting for these either on one task or on multiple tasks.

  12. activity disposition (action)

    I color code my activities, using green for activities that have yet to be completed, white for activities that have been marked completed. Some activities have not been completed, and will not be completed. I do not want to delete them because I want to see them on my calendar when I review my calendar activities, but I do not want them to be marked completed, nor do I want them to remain green.I look back to prior days on my calendar to quickly and easily see activities that I still need to complete.   14. Linked Notes & Linked Documents to be shown in Activity via date/time stamp

    Within the Activities, the Linked Notes do not seem to be sorted consistently by date/time. When referencing the Linked Notes within the Activities, it's sometimes very confusing to figure out which Notes to read in which order so that any Admin can reference to better understand the history and periodic updates associated to the Activity.

    This is true also for the Linked Documents as there may be multiple versions of the same document (Unsigned Doc, Client-Signed, Client&Agent-signed, or corrected version(s) to resolve a NIGO).

  15. Change "Past Due" activity from "Yesterday" to "Past Due"

    Currently when you're in a contact record, and you see a "past due" reminder and click on it, it takes you to "yesterday", not "past due". So you have to click on "past due" again. Any chance this could be fixed?

  16. To Do:

    A blank note pad (Not linked to calendar or contact) to be able to add and delete notes, things to do, etc. There are plenty of "To Do Things that I do not want cluttering up the calendar but need to from a "Notepad" once finished. It would be nice to have this in Redtail so that I have it digitally where ever I go not just on y desk.

  17. list two contacts when attached to note/activity, not just '2 contacts'

    I realize you like to say 2 contacts when both spouses are attached to an activity to save space but I'd love it if you only did that when 3 people are attached. I am trying to be good with my notes and attach both parties so they each have a record of it but then on printed reports, I can't tell who the activity or note is for. So list both names at two, summarize at 3.

  18. Creating an Activity Should Send ONE Notification

    When creating an activity... Why does person you are assigning it to receives more than one email notification on the activity? You need to click on edit to add the location and notes, therefore I didn't save the activity so the email shouldn't be sent. If I didn't "Save" it I'm not done creating it.

  19. Show Calendar Color Code in Activity Details "Type" Drop-down

    Show assigned color code assigned per the "Type" of activity selected in the drop down menu within the Activity Detail.

    Additionally, an option for CRM Admin to standardize all color codes selected would be nice.

  20. Open Activities

    I created a new activity type - outstanding issue to mark those things where we have reached out to the client but not heard back from them so the issue is still outstanding. Normally I'd put this in important information but that field is too easy to ignore (until you fix that, right?). My thought was to just add a date on those activities for the end of next year but I realized I can't easily see that.
