Automation Added based on Trigger Activity Added - More Conditions Needed
Please add more conditions when selecting Trigger Event Activity Added such as:
Created by equal to User X
Created by equal to Team Y

When one activity is added it can trigger another activity to be created
Example: I have a Sell Funds activity for my FA and the next day I need to Follow Up with a Sell Funds Activity for my SA. When I create the first activity I would like the second activity to be created at the same time. So, one activity would tell the automation to make a second activity. BTW - I have them on Activity Templates right now. Just waiting on the Automation to catch up!

Please provide unlimited trigger options
In order to make systems more automated and instead of having to manually create a bulk action to send a broadcast email, I would like to have some emails automatically sent when an Activity Category is changed within a workflow.
Because Redtail Automations are frustratingly limited and only provide an option to email user, email team, link workflow or set field, there should be a way within Redtail to have a review confirmation email, no reply email or thank you email to automatically send when changing the activity category or if there is another trigger and action that would get…

Need a way to directly intergrate Redtail with other applications. Zapier needs to be built out so that when we update a contact from lead -> client of vice versa it can update other applications. For example, if I put a tag into someone in Redtail, I would like the tag to be able to "zap" to my email list (currently using ActiveCampaign). Would love it if it also copied the email sent from AC to Redtail. We need more flexibility like salesforce has.

Automatic Activity after Opportunity Stage is complete - "Closed Won"
I want the ability to create an automation when and Opportunity stage is moved to "Closed Won" that is could automatically create a new activity.
This would be helpful for updating CRM account information, planning software, etc. And as a benefit, it would then also potentially trigger a workflow as well.

Expand Automations to include trigger events around specific workflow or activity templates
We need the ability to utilize automation when certain workflow or activity templates are added or completed. Example, when a workflow for new client on-boarding is completed- assign the "schedule financial planning implementation meeting" activity template. Or when a "client trade" activity template is completed, set off the "client money movement" workflow.

trigger events
The ability to have a trigger event on an activity date. For example I am adding an activity today for something that will happen a year from now. So a year later once its the day of the activity, being able to have a workflow automatically linked would be very helpful.

add automation to head of household record
Allow automations to be assigned to the Head of Household record only. Example, we have a husband and wife and the husband is head of household. They decide to terminate their relationship with us and we have a Client Termination workflow that will start when the contact is changed to Former Client. Therefore, the workflow will start for each of the contacts, husband and wife. But we process 95% of our clients as a household, not as individual clients. We currently have to delete the workflow that is under the spouse record.

Automation - Seminar Attendee Status Change Initiate Broadcast Email Template to Attendee
It would be really helpful to be able to set up an automation to send out a Broadcast Email template to a seminar attendee when their attendee status is changed to a specific status. For example, I John Doe is going to attend our event, I would like to be able to update his seminar attendee status and have that initiate a broadcast email template to be sent to him confirming his RSVP, etc...

Zapier - Capturing Contact Information
The API between Zapier and Redtail does NOT allow the email address and phone number of the contact to be captured in Redtail ONLY the name, source and category. At one point, I recall that this functionality was available. This will help reduce manuel input.

automated task creation
We would like to have an automation based on a step in the workflow being completed. This would be incredibly valuable in our onboarding process without having to track progress in multiple programs.

Include client in automation emails
It would be very helpful to include the linked contact in the email received for automation templates.

Add "Create Activity from Template" to automation actions
Add "Create Activity from Template" as an action type in Automation Action under "Do this action" tab. Right now you can only do it for workflow templates. It would be great to be able to automate the creation of activities that don't require a whole workflow to manage.

Action item when Servicing or Writing Advisor changes
I would like to set up automations for when someone changes a Servicing or Writing Advisor. Sometimes people change it without notifying anyone so it would be nice to use this function to make sure everyone is on the same page with these changes.

Have an automation to set Roles based on Writing Advisor
When adding a new contact and selecting the Writing Advisor, there should be an automation that will add the roles for that Writing Advisor. When setting workflows by roles, the workflows go into never never land if the roles are not in the contact record yet.

Add Zapier option to update Contact Note
Currently, with Zapier, Redtail can only add a contact, an activity, or an opportunity. We NEED the ability to update contact records with Zaps. That way when a contact opens an email, signs up for an event, unsubscribes from a list, (the options are endless) it can trigger an automatic note in Redtail without us having to handwrite hundreds of "action taken" notes. This feature exists with Salesforce and is long overdue for those of us trying to automate as much as possible.
