Automatic Email or Text Message Appointment Reminders to Clients
Could Redtail generate a reminder email (or even text message) to clients 24-48 hours prior to a scheduled appointment? The reminder would be generated by the calendar appointment and be sent to the email or phone number within the linked contact screen.
While this is not a native feature of the CRM, we are excited to work with robust partners that are innovating in the fintech space that meet this need. GReminders is one such company that we recommend checking out.

I suggested a service called Apptoto integrate with Redtail. I think it runs closer to $10-20/mo. A lot less expensive and better fit than DemandForce ($300/mo).

I as well have been creating excessive work for myself creating personalized reminders when there should be a simpler and more efficient way to let people know about their appointments. Any suggestions?

As far as I know from using it all these years, there is no "auto" alert unless you have "manually put it in as an activity. Redtail is not an automated process. It is only as good as you make it.

We have discussed this in this office and agree. We are used to working with a CRM that has a pop-up reminder. I am not sure I would like the audile alarm.

And also allow the contact to confirm the appointment.
Then there would be a reminder sent before the appointment.

Come on already. Lets get this done.
I just had a perfect example of how I would use it. I called a prospect and he was busy and asked me to call back in an hour. If RT had an alarm feature I could add it to the scheduled call I entered. -

I hope that with doing this RedTail finds a way to so the appointment will at least show up in Zimbra. The RedTail calendar needs to be able to be viewed on any device any time. Zimbra, while not perfect, at least dose this better than the native RedTail Calendar.
I can't use the RT calendar due to it's lack of accessibility on devices. So even if they add this feature it still locks us to the RedTail calendar that I can't view anywhere.

When I create an activity a notice goes out in that instant. I would like to know if there is a way to set up a reminder for a specific time-frame. In some cases I’d like to be reminded of a meeting the day before in order to prepare for it. Other times, I’d like to set up a reminder 1 hour prior if I need to make a call to a client.
