  1. link contact to note after note is posted

    After a note is posted, would it be possible to add a feature where an additional contact is linked to said note? Instead of deleting and recreating the note. We know there is a feature to copy the note to a new contact. But when comments are added or activities are linked, we would like to all parties involved to be on the same page

  2. Attach file to an existing note from main contact screen

    We love the new option to add files to new notes. Very useful and convenient feature.

    To take it to the next level -- we would like an option to 1) attach a new document to an existing note, and/or 2) link an existing document to an existing note.

    Just noticed that we can do #1 from the Notes screen, but not from the main contact screen. This should be an option there, where we most frequently see the notes.

  3. notes filter It makes snese to exclude emails from notes since RedTail already has an option to see all emails.

    notes filter - It makes sense to exclude emails from notes since RedTail already has an option to see all emails. This will make it easier for you to see important notes more easily. Especially if you are using an email marketing service; that makes it so time-consuming to scroll through pages of notes to find what you need.

  4. notes

    When enterring a note there is a section that allows you to link an account. That is great, but it only lists the custodian and account number. It would be helpful if the title of the account was listed their. We generally do remember account numbers and go from account titles. We noticed that their is no place to put an account title on an imported account. We solved this by placing the account title in the "product" section of the note.

  5. Separate Clients texts using My Rep Chat integration from Client Notes.

    These two areas should be separate, currently each Chat is saved as a new note, which causes important chats to be pushed way down the list of Important notes.

  6. Easier access to old notes

    Trying to access notes from long ago is slow and difficult. It would be nice to have a couple additional features. One might be a click to go to the earliest note. Another might be to jump to a specific date or year. This morning I was trying to get to notes from 10 years ago and it is super cumbersome to scroll down, let them load, scroll down again, and repeated the process over and over.

    Yes there is a notes report. But that is a weak substitute for functionality that ought to exist on the notes page without…

  7. NOTES- ABILITY TO HAVE A NOTES BLOCK IN WORKFLOWS THAT CAN BE DATA MINED WHEN RUNNING NOTES REPORT

    Would like notes in workflows to be searchable from a report. Designatge a main note block at top of Workflow that exports and would be searchable. This would enable you to not have to double document when completing workflow steps. Especially useful with transnational type work flows.

  8. Adding a flag or reminder feature in Notes

    After adding a note, can we get a feature to flag the note or a reminder to go back to the note in "x" number of days? Currently, the only way I can remind myself of the note is to create a follow-up activity. Let's say I speak with a client who tells me that she/he will send me a document in three days. I make a note of the call in RT and set a reminder (instead of an activity) to flag the note in four days. In four days, I am reminded of the Note and if the…

  9. link notes to workflow

    It would be super helpful if you could link a note to another note (instead of just adding a comment to a note) when a note is related to a previously written note. It would also be super useful to be able to link an existing note to a workflow (or activity or opportunity. I know you can add a new note for activities and opportunities, but I don't believe you can add an existing note). Like, say the Advisor has a conversation with a client about a distribution request and makes a note in redtail about the request. Then…

  10. Create ability to archive notes

    It would be great if we had the ability to archive notes so that we can hide some of the extraneous posts that show on the Notes tab that aren't as important/critical. The notes would still be captured for the client, just not right there on the main page clogging up the notes timeline.

  11. Add "Type" drop down to Note Entries as a selectable option

    Add the "Type" drop down to Note entries, similar to the Category drop down. By adding Type, your note entries can be aligned with the Activity Type.

  12. additional linked contacts should be spouse or family first

    While creating a note and adding an add'l linked contact to the note it used to list the spouse first or any contacts related to the HOH. Now you have to search through all of the Andersons, for example, before you can select the spouse. They previously were the first one listed so you didn't have to go through the entire list of Andersons. Please add this feature back. It is inefficient and I can't figure out why you changed it.

  13. searching in Notes

    This feedback relates to the "Note Filters" field found on the Notes page. We use the "search text" field to be able to locate a specific note. This features works great to search the text of notes. However, we have discovered that it doesn't return results from within "Comments" that were added to the note. The comments feature is very useful to keep the string together, however, we would really like the search text field to source from within comments as well. Thank you.

  14. bulk change notes permissions

    We have had client's change advisors and we want to be able to change the permissions on all the notes to the new advisor in once action versus having to change the permission on every historical note.

  15. Please add "type" (in addition) to "category" to Notes

    Notes only have "category", please add "type" (of activity) to notes. By adding "type" (of activity), we could say/see the note was an outbound call, an inbound call, email sent, text received, etc., and also still have the note "categorized" as move money, portfolio, trade request, etc. By only having "category" for note, we are forced to label as an activity, i.e., outbound call, instead of a category, i.e., beneficiary update or vice versa. A work around for this is to create an activity, but then I can't complete an activity while I'm in it / creating it, which requires…

  16. Automatically create note when updating a UDF

    I use a UDF to track my clients' "Review Status" with values set as Scheduled, Completed, Waived, or No Response. Is there a way to have a change in the UDF value automatically trigger an action? What I'd like to have happen is:

    IF UDF value = Scheduled, THEN create new activity (to open the create activity dialogue box so I could add their appointment to their Redtail account).

    IF UDF value = Completed, THEN create new note (so I can enter notes about the review).

    IF UDF value = Waived, THEN create new note (so I can add a…

  17. Please make the pop up note's entry box larger on the screen. And move the "Save Note" button to the top!

    *When i copy/paste either one large emails or multiple emails into the small note box, it's difficult to do so efficiently and accurately because the entry box is too small. If it was larger, it would be much more efficient to copy/paste emails, type in changes/updates/other notes/etc. Sometimes depending on if i'm using my laptop or desktop computer, this is difficult to use.
    **Also, can you please move the "Save Note" button to the top of the pop up screen instead of at the bottom. There's so many new features/settings in that pop up box now, that i can't see…
