  1. Required Minimum Distribution

    I would like to see Redtail Create a Required Minimum Distribution tab. This tab could have fields for each IRA that a client has and the advisor office can be fill in. In addition field for the Factor needed to calculate the RMD could be entered for the calculation to take place. It would also be nice if it would keep the records from year to year and if a detail section could be typed into for when the distributions where taken and how much were Qualified Charitable distributions etc.

  2. employer/employment info

    We want to start using the client profile print out at client meetings and want the employer information but we DO NOT want the Employers as contacts. We thought we could put it under the section of Know Your Client but that doesn't feed to the profile page! Why can't you give us a choice about creating a employer contact???

  3. Add "Referrer email" field under already existing "Referred by" Field or allow for a UDF of choice in Contact Details

    Currently if I wanted to send the referrer an email, I would have to:
    1. go to another contact and find email there
    2. Create a UDF which takes several clicks to get to and is in a different section

    It would be great to either:
    1. Allow user to add a field of their choice under "Contact Details" or
    2. Redtail to add "Referrer email" right under the already existing "Referred by" field

    This would allow for an email to referrer with just one click and easy to find

  4. Add More Marital Status Options

    Right now there are only 7 Marital Status options: Divorced, Life Partner, Married, Separated, Single, Unknown and Widowed. I would like Redtail to add "Divorced and Remarried" and "Widowed and Remarried" as two new options. If there is a change in divorce law, we'd like to filter our clients and send correspondence to any client who is divorced or has previously been divorced, but Redtail only allows the marital status of a divorced and remarried person to simply be "Married". Additionally, a widowed and remarried person often has different estate planning goals we should be sensitive to (i.e. leaving inheritance…

  5. Family Portfolio Aggregate link

    When viewing the head of household in "view family accounts" it would be nice to have the Portfolio Balanced reflect the family aggregate. Right now you can see all the account, but have to either click on Portfolio Balance or Accounts to see the true family account aggregates.

  6. Adding Additional Roles

    It would be WONDERFUL if we could create additional roles to be able to fully customize to our office needs since we have more than just the advisor, aa, and csa.

  7. Notes to head of household automatically copy to spouse's contact

    It would be nice to have notes automatically post to the head of household's spouse with having to "copy to another contact".

  8. add a household portfolio balance option

    When a client is married you should have the option to see the household portfolio balance not just the individual portfolio balance on the main screen.

  9. Remove "SEI" Icon Next to Contact Record Name

    We stopped feeding SEI account values to the CRM because we do not want this integration set up anymore. After we stopped the feed, I noticed that the "SEI" icon next to the contact record name never deleted.

    We have a lot of clients in the CRM who no longer have a SEI account so it would be great if Redtail would have the ability to remove the SEI icon especially when it is no longer applicable to our clients.

  10. List of multiple employers for single contact

    Please add the ability to have multiple employers for a single contact. We have many contacts who work and own businesses. Being able to link owners and employers of these additional businesses would be helpful.

  11. Financial Planning Tab in Clients

    I would love to see the addition of a Financial Planning tab under the contact record. It would be a summary page of where a client is. It may have things like whether they have a will or not, when that will was done, when we last asked about the will to make sure it is reflects current wishes. It would have places for outside accounts or insurance policies (for a placeholder for accounts we don't have downloading in and won't mess up our AUM numbers).   12. Trusted Contact Field on Contact Card

    Can you PLEASE add a field for Trusted Contact information on the Contact Record card? Also, please add a check box that can be marked if the client declines to provide this information. Thank you!

  13. Enable user defined fields to have a customizable order

    I think it is key to enable user defined fields to have a customizable order, not just alphabetical. This would allow users to format and better fit UDF's to their specific needs. I know that we are evaluating other options for our CRM needs because of the lack in customization with UDF's, if there were more options on this front, it would allow us to stay with Redtail.

  14. change next review to next review due

    On the front page of the contact record along the top where it says next review. That is just when it is due based on KYC, so it should be labeled NEXT REVIEW DUE not next review. It is misleading that there next review is actually set already for that date instead of just being due based on the KYC info.

  15. Auto-Assign CSA Role Based on Advisor

    It would be nice to, upon creation of a new client record, assign the CSA Role automatically based on the Writing and Servicing Advisor combinations. i.e. If the new contact's Writing Advisor is John and Servicing Advisor Joe, the CSA role would automatically assign to Jane.

  16. Date of birth field, allow entry without slashes and have system automatically insert slashes.

    Allow us to enter date of birth as 01012019 and have system automatically format it with the slashes. Data entry is faster if we don't have to add slashes.

  17. Trusted Contact

    Under the contact record, can we please add fields for "Trusted Contacts"? We need to record the name, address, phone, and email of Trusted Contacts in a way that is easy to find. We are currently adding it to the "Important Information", but having a specific field in the contact info would be more helpful. It would also be nice if there was a checkbox somewhere that you could click if Trusted Contact is "declined", as this is something required going forward.

  18. I want the Referred by box to search the CRM related to contacts that I am typing. I want to link the referring client directly to the refer

    Not browser saving prior entries, but that it links it to the contact client that referred the new client.

  19. Hide contact records that belong to former clients who have closed all accounts

    Currently, all contact records are pushed to Redtail CRM even after the client is no longer with your firm. That means that advisors must constantly see the names of clients who have unfortunately either closed all their accounts, moved to another firm, or passed away. All these closed-account and deceased contact records really clog up the contact list. I would like to be able to permanently hide these entries.

  20. Annual Review COMPLETED Section on Main Client Contact Page

    Please add a box that can be checked off or written in free form to detail when the annual review is completed.

    I know the "Know your client" section has a "Client Review" feature, but that just alerts me for the next review.

    It would be super beneficial to have a place on the main contact screen for a particular client that shows if we have completed the annual review or not. This will allow us to quickly glance and see during our other conversations if we have completed this documented annual review.
