If conditions true options in automation
Love to see more options in the "If...conditions true" lists.. such as:
Category = (A, A+, B etc)
Date of birth is equal to, greater than, less thanSo much more can be done with these automations!!

new ideas for Automation Tool
Need to create an Added By condition in automation. I like the automation tool but I would like to create a rule where it allow any users that creates a new contact to automatically create a permission rule.

Expand Conditions for Automating Permissions / Roles
Currently, you can automate Permissions when a contact is added for users and teams.
Now that Roles can also be also be assigned during the contact creation process, this should also be an Automation Condition option.
For example, when a new Prospect is entered in the system, if a user forgets to assign the Permissions / Roles, then they can be automatically assigned based on the Servicing/Writing advisor conditions.19 votesThe suggestion may be planned, but there is no timeline on this feature being added. UDF automation action item
If a status is changed (already trigger), then an a UDF (YES/NO) would be automatically connected as an action item.
For example, if status is marked as "client", then a UDF saying asking about Newsletter opt-in would automatically put "yes". Then you can change for the exceptions since most clients want your newsletter.

Add the Automation Condition field - Created By
Please add the Created By field for the automation condition.
This way I can create a template for permissions that says to assign a certain permission to a Contact/Note/Activity if it was created by a specific user.
This would completely automate all of the permissions in my database for the 20+ users we have.
Also please add the action for when notes are created.

More Automation Triggers!
Suggestions for things that would trigger an automation:
1. Completion of a workflow (ex: it would trigger a new workflow to be added)
2. Service agent changed/added (so if a contact is created without a service agent or the service agent is changed something could be triggered, like the adding of a workflow)

automation opportunity - Change stage updates contact status
Using the Opportunities section is tedious. To help reduce all the manual inputs, when an Opportunity Stage is changed to Closed-LOST, have the system update the contacts Status to the appropriate category. It would also be helpful to have lost inactive. It would be great if, stage changed to WON, trigger automation to update contact status to client.

Automation that would Trigger Roles being Populated upon Adding Servicing Advisor
Upon entering a Servicing Advisor/Writing Advisor in contact record, RT would automatically populate the Roles field (of the 3 individuals for that Servicing/Writing Advisor's team). It is double work now to enter Servicing Advisor/Writing Advisor, then go in and manually complete the Roles fields for every new client record entered.

Trigger on dates/ repeating schedule
Workflows would be much improved if it were possible to set them to launch on a systematic/scheduled basis. Ideally, workflow tasks would not be assigned to someone until the workflow is triggered per the set schedule.
For example, client meetings, annual client events, compliance, and other repeatable processes could be put on autopilot rather than having to remember to manfully launch workflows. This functionality has existed in other CRMs for years now, and it's disappointing that it's lacking here...

workflow automation
Automation options exist currently to start up a workflow upon certain triggers (ie. a certain status created/updated). It would be nice if the criteria could identify more complex (if/then) updates to narrow down specific changes to trigger additional workflows (ie. status update from "comprehensive client" to "tax client" triggers a particular workflow vs any contact status update to "inactive" triggers another workflow).

automated workflow trigger seminar
I would love a trigger for when I add a seminar to our calendar. It would be very helpful, so I can put reminders in about when we need to pay invoices, mail out letters, etc.

Automate activities based by client status
For example: I want to reachout to all A clients quarterly, all B clients semi-quarterly, etc. But each time i change a client's status, I don't want to manually update all the activities.

Certain timeframe triggers (ex. Yearly, Quarterly, Montly, Bi-Weekly, Weekly, Daily, Hourly etc.)
In the trigger drop down for the Automation there are events that would trigger the automation to happen. However, there are no re-occurring time triggers. It would be beneficial for people to choose if the want an automation to trigger on a certain date each year, month, week or daily.

Combining Contacts shouldn't trigger New Account automations
When combining contacts when accounts are moving from one contact to another my automation that triggers for new accounts is getting triggered. It is NOT a new account and has already been handled.

Automations: Change of Contact Status TO Create/Update Contact Tag Group
We use MarketingPro for scheduled campaigns to our clients via email. The only way to set groups in MP from RT is to set up tag groups for each campaign. It would be GREAT if there were automations triggered when a Contacts Status is changed to one of our options to automatically trigger them to be added/removed or changed to the specific tag group. This way, our campaigns in MP are always up to date and current to actual contact status.
Example:
Contact Status updated to 'Former Client' triggers the 'Active Client' Tag Group to be removed.
