Display how many activities are due on a selected due date
Can you add text on the activity window that says how many activities are already scheduled on the due date you want your activity to be completed by?
It can say “you have XX activities scheduled on this date” or something like that.
You can display this text next to the red text that display that already shows "you have X conflicts".
I believe this will help advisors like me and our practice manages not have to have two tabs so we can preview the calendar and then toggle over to complete the activity on the note we just finished.…

Zapier Capabilities Limited Due to Omission of Important Data Being Sent
Many of the gaps in Redtail's abilities could be achieved through Zapier, but there are critically important pieces of information that are not being passed to the Zaps. I've outlined a few of the most important pieces of information that would unlock a lot of functionality through Zapier.
Triggers:
-All should have information about linked contacts. At a minimum, client name and client ID should be available.
-Workflow triggers should have a workflow ID to identify which workflow the task is part of (it is currently just a task ID so you can't track what specific workflow or client it…3 votes -
Checklist on Activities
Adding a Checklist option to an Activity would be extremely helpful for tasks that are a little more complex and have a few moving parts that need to be completed.
Kind of like a Trello Card.

Linked Accounts - Ability to link empty accounts in RT.
Linked Accounts - Link all accounts, even empty ones - we want the CRM to be the one place of truth! Especially helpful for new clients or clients that have an unfunded Roth, it would be nice to view those in RT.

Customer Support
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Redtail currently uses Glia for customer service. This is probably one of the most archaic customer service providers I've come in contact with in the applications used.
It's very frustrating because if I lose contact with the person I'm with for Redtail Customer Support, then I have to start all over. Then I have to click several buttons and go somewhere else to access my chat history. Then if I want to continue a dialogue then I have to do this through email or in a different spot in Redtail. This is very annoying.

When are you going to go back to the obvious calendar fix of having 2 contact names show up like it use to be?
both names would show up on the calendar when a couple's appt was made. Now it says "2 contacts"
Worse of all, many people have been suggesting this and ORION once again fails to be responsive.
Just an example of why colleagues of mine who, like me have used Red tail for years, are looking for alternatives. Too many better option and no enhancements- just additional problems.3 votes -

Add the ability to generate/export reports using saved filters on an automated, scheduled basis, sent to email address.

Ability to tag team members for notifications
Our team would love the ability to tag each other in tasks/opps/workflows etc so that we collaborate on items and receive a notification when a team member needs input. If we were able to type @ and our team member's name, so that they can be tagged in the description, comment etc that would be EXTREMELY helpful.

Today tab and Things to do today section - Sorting by TYPE
When sorting activities according to TYPE, it should continue to list those with a time of day first, but automatically list them from earliest to latest, not the other way around. Why would I want to see things schedule at the end of the day first on the list? This makes no sense.

Add a column to the accounts view within a contact
We would like to be able to see the mgr/model name from within the accounts inside of a contact. That way we can see the type of account at a glance rather than having to click into each account from within the contact.

Reopen Workflow
Re-opening Workflows/Steps once completed. It would be advantageous to provide the option to re-open a completed workflow or step. (Whether by assigning permissions to specific user roles or through the support desk.) Sometimes a step is erroneously marked as complete or an outcome causes the rest of the steps to be skipped and the workflow to be closed out. When this occurs there is not currently an easy option for correcting/recreating the workflow.

Issue date in accounts
Under the contact accounts, could we please add the issue date at a glance without having to open each account to see?

Timeline Reporting
We should be able to run reports on information that is in the Timeline section of a contact card. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to report on when a contact has changed statuses (from a Lead to a Client for example) so that we can determine things like lead conversion rates, time to convert, etc.

UDFs to Trigger Automations
We should be able to use UDFs to trigger automations. For example, if a client has a "Review Date" UDF for a specific part of our business (i.e. Insurance), we should be able to automatically trigger a workflow with target dates set to match the selected date. This would save a TON of time in having to regularly kickoff workflows, and would help keep our activities a lot cleaner because we wouldn't be creating activities to remind ourselves to kick off workflows.

FMG Suite email change
I'm having issues with my FMG. Every time FMG syncs, it goes into the "Notes" section of Redtail and is categorized as "General Information." I need to make sure these notes sync in as "Emails" instead of "General Information".
Also, I have MyRepChat for texts. I would like MyRepChat to be able to automatically sync under a seperate category as well so my Notes section does not get bogged down.
There should be a setting under "integrations" that would allow for specific integrations to automatically sync as certain "Categories" in the Notes section.

Two Different Date Fields on Documents
There should be two different date fields on a document - the upload date (which is system generated), and a "Document Date" which the user can select when they upload the document (similar to selecting the category and document title). It would be really helpful to be able to filter based on document date rather than just the date the document was uploaded, especially as we bring in documents from previous CRMs. Right now, we're having to put the document date in the title of the document, which is clunky and time consuming.

"Created By" listing names alphabetically.
When doing an advanced search for "Created By", it would be nice for first or last name to be listed alphabetically.

Upload spreadsheet of contact info and create contacts
It would be great if you could import a spreadsheet into Redtail and it would create contacts from the names and contact info on the spreadsheet.
For example, we host seminar's and we receive a spreadsheet from our marketing firm containing the attendees contact info.. We have to manually add all these contacts but it would be great if we could just upload the spreadsheet, designate where to pull the data (Example Column A is Last Name.. And have the contacts added.. It would be also great if you could have automatic activities made if requested for contacts like this.

Activity Notification Email (without description field)
Activity Notifcation is a great way to keep Attendees (relevant users) up to date on tasks that requires them. Although, when we use the Description field to keep detailed notes, it would be nice if those were not sent via unsecured email.

Our office would like to have each user see only the notes for their clients on the dashboard
When a user logs in they can see notes for all users in the office. They don't want other users to see what they are interacting with their clients about. It is a bit of a privacy issue for the clients also.
