  1. Tasks, Activities, and Events

    Redtail should differentiate tasks from actual events. Currently, everything is linked to an activity which clutters the calendar and makes it pretty unusable if you have a lot of tasks pending. I think Tasks should be separate and not added to the calendar (should only show up on the timeline). And actual events (appointments, etc.) should be added to the calendar.

  2. Account Type Label for Notes/Acitivity

    When linking an account (or multiple) to a note or an activity, we are only able to see the title of the account. We should be able to see other account specific information to differentiate among them. For instance, if a client has 3 accounts with the same custodian, only the account numbers show up when linking making it hard to differentiate unless you update the title and add extra information to them.

  3. User Interface

    The user interface for contact records should be updated. Currently there is a lot of clicking needed to navigate a contact record. I believe Redtail should take some inspiration from Wealthbox's User Interface on contact records) Having the keywords, email history, notes, accounts, family members, etc. all in one place makes it easier to navigate and get the necessary information.

  4. default email

    When entering a contact, you enter an email address. You should NOT have to check a box to make it default. Just have the system treat the first email entered as the default and if we want to change it for contracts with multiple emails we can. But I was just told for a few thousand contacts, i had to go into everyone and check the box if I now want to use the broadcast email feature...what? first entered email should automatically be default.

    I have a large database that multiple users have access to. When I check permissions on all of the notes in the database, I also see workflow notes. I can't seem to permission those notes. Please create an option for permissions for workflow notes or another spot for workflow notes to be permissioned.

  6. date of notes

    This has been truly the most frustrating part of this program. I assist 3 advisors and they each have multiple client meetings a day. I am not always able to get all the notes in on that day. If I were able to put them in by selecting the date they actually happen and it put it in order for me that would be SOOOOO helpful. Currently I have gotten more behind on my data entry and feel overwhelmed knowing I will have to search my email for all the notes related to that client file and put them in…

  7. Daily Summary Report

    A daily report of all activities and notes completed that day by CSA that can be emailed to the advisor so they can stay in the loop of happenings with clients by just reading a quick email briefing.

  9. RMD Report needs improved

    There are two improvements needed for RMD's, first the "Contacts by RMD" Report is running for clients turning 72 (the RMD start age is 73 starting in 2023). Second, when running the report, there is a check box to only include "qualified accounts". Not all qualified accounts are have a RMD requirement (such as Roth IRA, UTMA, UGMA, HSA, Educational IRA, MSA). This results in a RMD report with accounts not needing a RMD. Request to adjust age to 73 for the report and the ability to include/exclude specific types of qualified accounts.

  11. ability to filter notes by user and timeline

    It would really be great to search through notes with a filter for user. It would also be great to have a filter to look at past notes within a certain timeline.

  12. Advanced Search on Account Level

    Currently Advanced Search is at the 'contact' level, we NEED to be able to search at the account level. Today there is no way to get an accurate report showing an account type, for example, Fixed Annuities issued in a particular month, say January. To me this is a basic search feature that should be available.

  14. Sort notes via date created

    When an activity is completed it shows as a note - we would love to have the ability to sort those by the date created opposed to the date the activity was completed.

  15. Bulk remove keyword or tag groups on One contact

    When handling terminated accounts, would be useful to have way to delete all keywords and/or tag groups from one contact. Having to click each keyword or tag, and then also click on the confirmation message is bulky and inefficient when trying to clean up lots of contacts.

  16. Generate an alert to notify the client of a meeting.

    It would be very helpful to have an automated alert go to the client when we schedule a meeting. This way they can reply to reschedule, cancel, or keep appointment. If they decide to keep appointment, a reminder notification would work great, days before the meeting.

  17. Albridge Integration

    For Albridge, can we at least get the Account Type to populate? We see the accounts but have no idea what kind of account it is. Albridge has the data and may already be sending it. Should not be a hard thing to fix. Call me if I can help explain. Thanks!

  18. client review portfolio

    Please create a Client Review Report that includes the Portfolio Account Values. Advisors need updated account $ values for clients, categorized by their Status A, B, C, etc.

  19. Telephone Message Board

    Our firm uses a separate phone message board website to post phone messages when a client calls. Currently, we have to copy the message and post it into a new note in the client's contact. This is done many times a day.

    To have a phone message board (a separate section) available in Redtail, so messages can be posted in the message section for a user and also saved in a note in the client's contact would be so helpful. This would also help greatly with compliance, as well as ensuring all communications with a clients is in one location.

  20. Really need email reminders for future tasks/activities. This should be a standard feature of any CRM system.

    Need email reminders for activities that are scheduled in the future. No good way to keep track of this currently.
