Leo O'Connor Jr supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedThis fact that this doesn't show up in the timeline is scary. That isn't helpful at all. Maybe the popup is a choice to enable (or maybe that'd help them record the change better on the timeline)

More information is needed internally before a decision can be made. Nothing is needed from Redtail clients at this time.

An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedWhy isn't this a thing yet? I have a UDF Field that says 2018 annual review complete and I'd love to be able to seach for clients, with the udf 2018 annual review complete = no, and review month may so I can get a nice list of people to schedule meeting for this may (the UDF there in case we picked up a review earlier or that we at LEAST did an annual review much less anything more frequently.

Leo O'Connor Jr supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedI love when I see the exact idea I was about to have. I totally agree. Like our membership code for referror (sp?), referred it'd be able to click all the boxes on both sides at once. Then you can make each checkbox a column so that instead of taking up 10 rows it would take up just 1.

Leo O'Connor Jr supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedThis would be useful so we don't just throw the maiden name in the nickname field or put (formerly maiden name) next to the last name, ruining the ability to export cleanly for mailings. The search already looks at way too many fields as it is, what is one more?

An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedWe do this with UDFs and while we can bulk add the contact level UDFs we end up having to manually add the account level UDFs and that is nothing less than a huge pain and a waste of time.
An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedSo for the nonschab users, how it this marked complete?
An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedI have done this with UDFs but as you can't bulk add UDFs and Redtail fails to mention that tax-qualified means needs RMDs (when they are old enough) it would be nice to have a better system.
An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedWhile I have made a system using Redtail it leaves a LOT to be desired because of how things are done and what you fail to tell us (Like checking tax qualified for a 529 means they are now sucked up into the RMD report. This issue is important enough to get right you should really host so advisors and admins and see what would work best for everyone.
Leo O'Connor Jr supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedI agree. Make it something we can run reports by, export, and even show without having to click into the account.

Leo O'Connor Jr supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedI can do this now (but for the non primary it doesn't count towards their portfolio balance as seen from the main contact page). I think having more fields (or fields that only show up when an account has a certain registration (like trustee fields appearing when an account is marked a trust) would help. I like linking a 529 to the custodian and the beneficiary but there is no properly named field with that capability (i can call them a beneficiary but not link ir or call them an owner and link it).

Leo O'Connor Jr supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedI agree. Right now, for a 529 for instance, I have to add the account under the parent and for the option to also see it under the kid I end up calling the kid a joint owner, which is not accurate at all but the only way to easily get the result I want.

An error occurred while saving the comment Leo O'Connor Jr commentedAlso, get your wording consistent. On the main contact page the system uses the terms Writing Advisor and Servicing Advisor but those aren't found in the roles. Are those really additional roles on top of Advisor, Associate Advisor, and CSA? Those are roles that for the best chance of using the system well you will want identified for each client so they should be added when a contact is added and be as visible as servicing and writing advisor is.
